This reminds me of the old Ps3 vs Xbox 360 days. The ps3 (android) had more theoretical power on paper, but the xbox 360 (iphone) always looked better and performed better on cross-platform games due to an easier development platform. Developers will always choose the path of least resistance and do "just enough" to develop for the "harder" platform. If a developer were to make a game exclusive to android we would see what Snapdragon could really do. I guarantee they develop on Iphone first, then port it over to android.
If you don't mind the garbage OS or permanent Grey bar at the bottom, inwhich some games you instant exit or the fact your game freezes when you swipe down to check Time/Message or multitask in general, the Pro Max is the best choice ofthe two. Samsung wins for me. The newest iteration narrowed the performance gap between the iPhone in these two waifu simulators enough to make it a compelling alternative for those games while still offering Android's greater gaming flexibility through emulation. Finally, while both can do video out, only the Samsung outputs a 16:9 signal that'll perfectly fit your monitor, projector, or TV for big screen docked gaming.
I wouldn't say the S25 beat the iPhone if it only performed 0.2 fps better on average while drawing more power, rendering slightly lower res and running hotter. If so, Mr. Cook is definitely laughing right now.
When using Samsung GPU Watch resolution overlay it says 876p in Genshin and actually 1080p on WuWa so it is higher if you set the optimisation mode to performance
@VibeII eager to wait for adreno frame motion engine for interpolation and the resolution upscaler But nonetheless, at least the issue is fixed somehow, optimization is needed further
Can you please do a comparison iPhone 15 pro max vs the new Samsung s25 please. I’m looking for someone for long time to see how well is the iPhone 15 pro max runs 120 fps in the new iOS update
15pm cant run any game on 120fps only 16pm can. 15 will go to 120 for 5 seconds and then lock it back to 60. Id say 15pm and s25u are prob same performance or the samsung might be better unless it throttles.
I tried it and it can handle 120fps for less than 5 minutes, then it goes to 70-90fps for some minutes and then ends up at 60 stable. Though this may vary slightly depending on your room temperature.
I just got iPhone 16 PM and I can tell it was really impressive when gaming. The temperature is great while gaming after more than 2 hours on highest graphics settings. Even tho iphone is not a gaming phone, still the best for gaming. The main reason I got an iPhone because of their stable OS.
Of course, the iPhone will always win in Genshin Impact, because when this game is developed, the iPhone chipset is better, but when it comes to the newest games, the iPhone will lose.
Okay! The real problem here is the graphics library! They both are built on OpenGL and android now has to rely on ANGLE(Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine). Which has to transalte OpenGL calls to Vulkan API. This is gonna start with android 16 as Vulkan would be the default graphics API on android. but OpenGL would be supported using ANGLE. Until devs don't make game on Vulkan APIs. We will see these issues happening. So iSheeps, apple did a great job with Metal API. I know, but just look how hard socs have to work to translate API call's
that´s a step forward from the S24 ultra but still not good enough, especially when you look at the thermal management, hope they´ll fix it with further updates
U cant fix a 4.47 ghz CPU thermal it will be always higher the snap dev dont know that put the cpu to this clock Is azarduos, u risk with plus demanding game to break the phone for example for snapdragon u must have 6000mah due to power draw and still has less batttery hours in real world.
46 degrees peak is what I expected. It’s hot, but I personally wouldn’t mind that tradeoff for that near-60 FPS average on a Samsung device. Plus, it did well on the other game. Which surprised me. Overall, significant improvement over previous Samsung devices.
If you’re super hardcore in mobile gaming and you don’t mind compromises in other areas (like cameras), then yeah. But if gaming isn’t THAT important to you, just get a non-gaming flagship phone. They all pretty much play games fine these days.
@@lucyEmma111 Try playing Nikke: Goddess of Victory 👍 The S24 Ultra does fine in 60 FPS settings in Nikke. They just started a new Maid Cafe event, too.
After these tests, I am considering on doing the same. Unfortunately, there is no option that can do everything. Redmagic has the best gaming performance but lacks on the camera and software updates. Pixel have the best photos, AI and software but terrible gaming performance. Sony has unique features and the best manual camera on the market but they desperately need to control the temperatures on their phones for gaming and improve auto/telephoto camera. Samsung are full of unique features but it has bloatware. iPhones have optimization priority but they have iOS and the Apple Store (both are negatives for obvious reasons).
Any chance you can incorporate Infinity Nikki into the mix? Another game on the level of these, running on UE5, so would be interesting to see how it stacks. It was previously super unoptimized for mobile, but recent updates have made it a much better experience.
Scamsung users be like: The game is not optimized, S25 Ultra is very new, wait for a few software updates, Wait for S26 Ultra, blah bla bla... iPhone: 95fps, 902p resolution, 41°C Scamsung: 59fps, 864p resolution, 43°C Those who say developers don't bring native 120fps for Lagdroid devices do so because, at 60fps, these devices already reach 43°C. If they unlock 120fps (which is not difficult), then the devices will run at 55°C.
Why are you crying. It's statue developers don't want to focus on Android because Apple pays them more and because Apple pays more Isheep buys apple phone for significantly higher price. Redmagic 10 pro has a cooler and better thermal yet Developer has not given 120 fps option and Redmagic performs better than Iphone both in Heat and Average frames. So lagroid banter won't work here. Samsung AI is superior, It has Dex mode and Much better cameras and cost lower. Itbis overall a better phone than Apple

My friend, it was a nice test, thank you. I don't know English, so I can't understand what you're talking about. Did the s25 ultra perform better for you and which one was more stable? I'd appreciate it if you could answer.
Seems like the best performance on the market is still the RedMagic 10 Pro. Wuthering Waves is optimized for iPhones (so they have an advantage) but the iPhone 16 Pro Max still lost across the board in the tests. It's quite disappointing to see Samsung slacking off but not surprising considering how they seem to be copying Apple lately.
Good overall performances here and significant improvement over the S24 Ultra is not “slacking off” lol. Making substantial improvements from their previous flagship Ultra is literally the opposite of slacking off.
How would it NOT be the redmagic 10 pro ? It's literally a gaming phone . And yes temperatures are high on the s25 but look at the fps average, way better than last year. What's your definition of slacking?
I heard people are dissapointed in redmagic 10 pro active cooling, as its only accumulating heat inside without fan to blow out of phone and that its really loud. Is it true? And temperature wont rise more than 40c in genshin even playing 2h?
that's why if you have the budget then you better buy a gaming phone rather a flagship like this, you looked really good holding a gaming phone too yknow
Why there is no upsacler like iphone in andriod i think qualcom indrouced back in 2021 at the launch of 8gen1 I dont why developer are not using Dame you know the reason....??
On samsung you have an option to set the resolution to 100% and man sees a difference bud is normal, which is only set to 80% but a samsung only option and needs a samsung account and that doesn't require more power because on my s23 plus both games run at 60 fps at a resolution of 2310x1050
It drew a lot more power. iPhone used 5.4 watts while S25U used 7.2 watts. Which means iPhone was more efficient and will sustain better fps performance in the long run as the less power used the less heat the phone will draw.
In principle, it's not bad, it's not really bad, especially compared to previous S2XU series smartphones. Even despite the low resolution of the games, compared to the iPhone. Moreover, now you can play emulators (I hope Apple will come to its senses and add them too, otherwise there is nowhere to put the performance of their smartphones). But still, the smartphone came out bad.
This is strictly a personal observation and I don’t intend to “sell” anyone on any 1 platform over the other as they all have their pros/cons….however with just how poorly iOS rollouts have gotten the last few years (bugs, slowing down of old iPhones, battery “health” nonsense) and how much Samsung has improved their updates, as well as the obvious advances of the Qualcomm chips finally, FINALLY closing the gap with the Apple series A chips…I will be transferring to a galaxy device for the first time since the iPhone X/GS9+ era. The S25 Ultra took an already incredible device that was the S24 Ultra and improved it correctly. Granted incrementally. Apple needs to be humbled again so that they’ll stop resting on their successes. Their laziness of the new “camera button” feels like a touchbar fiasco all over again. 😅 All that being said; the optimization of Apple hardware/software synchronization is truly yet unmatched.
Actually it would be Qualcomm, since Samsung continues to be the one that gets the least performance from Qualcomm chips and that speaks to the little effort invested by Samsung.
It depends on what you're looking for. Redmagic 10 pro is a gaming smartphone that want sustained performance with minimal throttling. Samsung S25U and Apple 16PM are flagships smartphones. They have their pros and cons.
Wouldn't this just show that the games are unoptimized on android because the single core is almost the same and on multicore the samsung wins and gpu performance the samsung wins always on other benchmarks. Actually asking
Hm... Android this year still under performs, well there are several reasons for that like IOS has a whole app store and the genshin impact and wuwa (wuthering waves) are more optimised for it's OS, android has different architecture and different framework based on how every android is different from one and other.. Thats why it's difficult for games to be optimised in android.. But there's just disappointment that there's no improvement in s25 ultra other then an overclocked heating processor and putting bangles around it's camera and few ai gimmicks.. They should've added big battery, better screen with 144 hz, worked on how to optimise the processor and the app so that it can work too it's full potential..

The gameplay on the s25 ultra is so beautiful
Did genshin make updates? Before that the iPhone would just go down to 60-70 fps when it was at 120
iOS 18.1 and iOS 18.3 improved performance.

Thanks for video
8 gen 3 really changed android. But i don't how iphone is still so efficient.

@pengdoestech samsung also has exynos but its shit so that's not an excuse
This is 8 elite
ios is the reason
It's the software with insane optimisation and powerful hardware.
Do an emulation test on the s25 ultra please.
Definitely on my to-do-list.
It will cause quicker rise in temperature and quicker thermal throttling, this is what happened to NL tech channel gaming test
@BrutalLogic_107 That's true, but if samsung decided to optimise their resolution and put their new upscaler the games would play amazing
@VibeII eager to wait for adreno frame motion engine for interpolation and the resolution upscaler
But nonetheless, at least the issue is fixed somehow, optimization is needed further
Just look the GPU Usage between those two, shows how optimised iPhone is
Hey Dame, I love your video. Can you show how to enable those fps indicator on iPhone?. It doesn’t show up on my iPhone at developer mode.
@ iPhone is very optimized then Samsung
I tried it and it can handle 120fps for less than 5 minutes, then it goes to 70-90fps for some minutes and then ends up at 60 stable. Though this may vary slightly depending on your room temperature.
I just got iPhone 16 PM and I can tell it was really impressive when gaming. The temperature is great while gaming after more than 2 hours on highest graphics settings. Even tho iphone is not a gaming phone, still the best for gaming. The main reason I got an iPhone because of their stable OS.
It's because any android phone will blast if it is pushed to 120 fps
That's just not true

Yeah iphone is better due to metal fx but they never consider it

On samsung you have an option to set the resolution to 100% and man sees a difference bud is normal, which is only set to 80% but a samsung only option and needs a samsung account and that doesn't require more power because on my s23 plus both games run at 60 fps at a resolution of 2310x1050
Samsung provided more stable FPS than iPhone, but why did it heat up more?
It drew a lot more power. iPhone used 5.4 watts while S25U used 7.2 watts. Which means iPhone was more efficient and will sustain better fps performance in the long run as the less power used the less heat the phone will draw.
The Redmagic 10 pro is a sorcery 💯

All that being said; the optimization of Apple hardware/software synchronization is truly yet unmatched.
Good performance from samsung if u game for around max 30 mins that phone was just about to throttle in wuthering with the 46 degrees heat

For the first time I saw a Samsung performing well in games, I think Samsung will be a threat to Apple in the future
