What a nice discovery... Not only music is great, but these instruments too as are these talented musicians... Thank you for maintaining this tradition.
This is true art and beautiful musicianship. The kind that can transport you to a kind of bliss. Apparently that kind of excellence has been relegated to the background of life, judging by the limited number of hits on this and other great vids compared to some of the much less accomplished mindless material
Wow. You want to be having a good hair and make-up day when Petter is behind the cameras! Very cool video and beautiful playing. But do we even see the Hardanger player?
I agree. While they are certainly lovely faces (3) , why the extreme close ups? Is this a new method sure to drive the viewer nuts? That aside , wonderfully played by this esteemed ensemble.
Dare to disagree, it helped me a great lot to unfocus and get really into the music without attempting to analyze what do i really see in their faces. Also, it goes with the rhythm^^
If you have never seen a Nyckelharpa or a Hardanger fiddle before this filming technique is irritating, but once you have researched these a bit then you will appreciate it more I think. I do have one problem with this piece though - it ends!
OK, the chicks are hot, and their earrings are whatever, but I want to see the musicianship. Can you hold the damned camera still for a few seconds at a time?
To be honest they probably shot this like 5 times, it’s super hard to line up film and music performances if you’re cutting from multiple angles. So musicianship is just gonna have to be heard not seen in this instance

We are two, I also have discovered the music of Eric Rydvall and the nyckelharpa only today and adore and love it immediately and inmensly!
I am listening to this outside and birds have come to listen. They know beautiful when they hear it.
Thanks for a lovely Nordic musical experience.
Just when you think it's all been done, along comes another group of musicians to reveal the wonder of humanity.
WOW! This is extremely inventive!
a greater contribution to my day has not been made. thanks
Ive found the best way to listen to this is with eyes closed.
Great arrangement. Great playing. Thank you.
Beautiful, emotionally articulate, and well-played, an incredible fusion of styles and individual dictions. Loved it!
Sounds like ”Rachel’s” but with more
Folk-elements.
So good!!!!
Please, more like this!
Bravo, thanks for sharing this marvelous video.
One of my favorite fiddlers of all time, Natalie Hass ❗️
that's Brittany her sister
I love this a lot! Beautiful arrangement!
This was so amazing!!
Amazing! I want to play this :D
Fantastic presentation!
WONDERFUL

Superb.
Very Nice!
Sweet!!

Gorgeous creation, unique music. (Photography a bit invasive, if "interesting.)
Ładna piosenka

we got to see his bow elbow
What sorcery is this?
Is there an album/cd of this concert or tour?
omg......
At the begining ,Flesh qartet. And at the end.
More just this!
More "minimal" sounds.
Music is wonderful. Only camera man could consider his passion for blurry details, it makes video almost unwatchable.
Another terrific performance compromised by a hyperactive videographer.
Kinda invasive too- no need for ultra-closeups, IMO.

beautiful but not the cumberland gap i know
As you say, it`s not exactly Lonnie Donegan...
Stuff little fingers
Nothing for us
Alternative Ulster

Kinda hard to measure temps from a 2-dimensional image, no? (IOW, silly assessment.) Yes, we have no use for ultra-in-your-face closeups.
To be honest they probably shot this like 5 times, it’s super hard to line up film and music performances if you’re cutting from multiple angles.

It would be fine if you just put a bit of the melody of Cumberland gap into your arrangement
heh heh
Not a good version, perhaps this was added by mistake or it is the modern jazz style..meh.
