@@aseasonedtrucker431 ive also wondered if you needed help in a not-advertising-to-you way. but wasnt sure how you would manage from your position. - sorry for the long answer: ------ SEO, search engine optimization -- basically is how easily people search your topic and first perceive your videos while scrolling. People see thumbnails first, and look for a title and foreshadowing in the thumbnail, or something that pops in the picture, maybe with an ALL CAPS TITLE!! emoji😱. thats why people take corny mouth open, pointing pictures with text on the thumbnail. That and/or a super clickbait title. Extreme example would be a picture of a truck with "TRUCK DRIVER plays FORTNITE while watching (insert new movie title here)" written over the thumbnail. Idk if thats your target demographic though lol ----- TH-cam in the "mr beast" era is all about gaming the algorithm to get (mostly) 10 year olds and then the rest of us, to auto click on your videos just from the image. Due to intrigue or recognition of a commonly used title screen or photo. People are a little more tasteful now, and are still successful with it - "trinity dairy" is a good example of simple thumbnails. They just text over the thumbnail - I think using a website. To be honest i personally do like your thumbnails -- theyre just not "meta" (most effective tactics) for pulling in views. Theres more too it like what you talk about but thats a little much. source: born in 1995 & good at photoshop if you need it
