No unfortunately. For tele lens you need to film in 3rd party app. Anamorphic can do it though but you need to desqueese it in the post. I tried it and it was possible

Have you tried the neewer cage for the galaxy ultra series? It seems more affordable and you can get some of the same results from the lenses. The cage has many holes for attachments. Are freewell and neewer compatible?

Thank you for suggesting third party programs to handle the variations of lenses on top of the telephoto lenses already on IPhones. I watched several other videos that would have complaints about needing the extra software compared to the Samsung series, but not offer the solution they used.
I wasted money on other items before finally yesterday ordering the ProGrip & accessories, 18mm & 60mm lenses, and the 1.55 anamorphic lens. I've been a serious photographer since the 1980's, but I've not enjoyed photography more since moving to using a smartphone instead of a camera, despite my previous preference for expensive digital cameras and before that, 35mm and large format high resolution film. I used Moment lenses with my old iPhone, but this setup looks to be my ideal. At least I hope.
@@lynnfuentas9236 I finally nailed them down and found out they were holding up my order because the anamorphic lens wasn't available, so I told them to send the rest of the order without the one lens, and they did. Still waiting on the anamorphic lens.
These kits are very pricey, and future compatibility is definitely an issue. I hope at least that they will create new cases for coming phones, that enables the consumer to replace only the phone case and not lenses. Otherwise, it would be expensive to pay another 1000$ each time a new phone comes to the market for a compatible kit.
Unfortunately that is why I always say buy mirrorless camera instead. Long term much better investment. If you plan on keeping your phone for years to come then sure get these….
@@ZdenkaDarula I agree about the mirrorless cameras. These smartphone lenses do have a place in the world of photography. Generally speaking, I think the built-in lenses will suffice for most smartphone photographers. Personally, I would take a look at Moment's products. I've used their lenses in the past, and they are way cheaper and pretty good for hobby photographers.

This is difficult to say… if you’re OK with automatic mode, then you don’t need a filter… if you are very picky about the picture, then you will naturally want to use an ND filter… most of the people will not even know that you used one
Agree - it really depends on your application. In my case I use two Canon EOS 1Dx Mark IIs (pretty old but waiting for an R1 body to be introduced). In daylight I shoot American football at 1/5000 seconds with aperture between f2.8 - 5.6, with about 80% of the shots on my 400mm f2.8 lens. So an iPhone (iPhone 15 Pro Max being delivered tomorrow Sept. 22) or any smart phone isn't going to be in the same ball park (or football field). I can see for socials, and street photography, a smart phone would be better in most cases. @@ZdenkaDarula
They should, but I am not 100% certain. Reeflex have their own lenses as well. I have another brand coming up within the next two weeks so just wait for a little bit

What impact do these add-on lenses have on the resulting aperture? Is it like adding filters or extenders on a DSLR lens? Also, how does adding on an extra lens increase resolution (since adding a pro lens on a consumer DSLR doesn't improve the image quality though it may change the field of view; it's still the same sensor in the camera)?
It doesn’t change up percher, but it does change size of the image because you are using a standard camera which has higher pixels rate than telephoto camera which is lower… you will get the same result as you would get Telephoto but you are taking it with standard lens
After watching your video, I purchased a few lenses, polarizer and a few other things. Three months later and I have not received them from ShiftCam. I think the name should be ShiftScam? There are many complaints over TH-cam and the internet of orders not received. Are you still endorsing them?

My first smartphone lens was a Moondog labs anamorphic lens which fitted perfectly on my iPhone 7. I have struggled to get anything nearly as good since then, culminating in my disappointment when I purchased a Smallrig phone case and a Smallrig 1.55 anamorphic. They did not line up despite the strong magnets on the backplate!!!

Nice review, but you failed to mention: 1- mounting with very fine screw threads, is very easy to damage; 2- there is no UV filter to protect the lens surface; 3- lens are heavy and unbalance the phone; 4- gimble has to be able to cope with extra weight, thats an extra cost
Failed to mention 😉 those are things I don’t even look at… as per gimbal yes it is obvious it needs 3 in 1 gimbal and I’ve filter is such a waste of money. Never used one in 18 years shooting weddings, glamour and fashion… even friend of mine in camera stores told me, don’t waste your money on that. Those will always get damaged and they only make you buy more and more. My lenses…. all of them have 0 scratch and I’ve been shooting in some crazy conditions…

I’m so glad they are sending them to TH-camrs for free but those of us who paid via their KickStarter about 2 years ago haven’t received anything and are now receiving no updates since they promised to send the all last month.
It is not free…. It is exchange for producing video which takes 5 days.. instead of payment.. people don’t understand it. What I have is prototype which still has many issues.. I cannot sell it, only use it .. there is no value.., on the other note I don’t do Kickstarter as there are always issue. Don’t buy anything there

I still have not received my order after 3 months nor are they responding to my emails. Maybe you need to address this issue as you promoted their gear and influenced me and many others to buy. Also next time maybe do some due diligence on companies that send you free stuff. Shiftcam's many issues go back a long way.
After this video came out …. Again way later …. they had major problem with their factory that is why there is a delay as I was informed last week. It is easy to blame TH-camr first who has nothing to do with it. However… what I can do for you is if you send me your order number to my email through my website, I’ll forward it to them directly. It’s a shame that this system is again another mounting system. M Type, 17mm and this at something like 12mm and other systems as well. If only there was a standard and lenses and filters from different brands were interchangeable.
Same problem with DSLR lenses and filters. Different diameters on lenses require multiple filters for same purposes (e.g. ND filters) unless an adapter is used which reduces the field of view on wider-angle lenses.
The BIGGEST problem with Shiftcam is they are always very LATE in delivery. 2 different times I ordered their product, both they deliver 1-2 years later from their expected delivery date. Which means the product their advertising is already obselete. They still owe me a set of prolens that comes with the snapgrip... and guess what? They still havnt deliver it after 1+ years.
Absolutely agree! The "savings" you are offered are meaningless if the product is never developed or delivered and are minimal if product is delivered years after expectation.@@ZdenkaDarula

@@ZdenkaDarula We are talking hardware, there is no difference . Making a case with the bayonet for the lens is exactly the same for almost any device. We see all these videos with dedicated products and then if lucky we get offered a generic clip for the lens . It's the equivalent of going to a restaurant and : "Yes, come in we can't give you a nice table like everyone else but there's a small place at the side of the toilets and some left overs you can have very cheap ". Great review! The aluminum mount is great but for the rest of the case, I don't really like vegan leather. It a bit looks like normal plastic. I would like to know more. Is it possible to make vs battle video lenses compare Shiftcam, Moment, and Sandmarc?

It depends on what phone you have
What impact do these add-on lenses have on the resulting aperture? Is it like adding filters or extenders on a DSLR lens? Also, how does adding on an extra lens increase resolution (since adding a pro lens on a consumer DSLR doesn't improve the image quality though it may change the field of view; it's still the same sensor in the camera)?
It doesn’t change up percher, but it does change size of the image because you are using a standard camera which has higher pixels rate than telephoto camera which is lower… you will get the same result as you would get Telephoto but you are taking it with standard lens
After watching your video, I purchased a few lenses, polarizer and a few other things. Three months later and I have not received them from ShiftCam. I think the name should be ShiftScam? There are many complaints over TH-cam and the internet of orders not received. Are you still endorsing them?

My first smartphone lens was a Moondog labs anamorphic lens which fitted perfectly on my iPhone 7. I have struggled to get anything nearly as good since then, culminating in my disappointment when I purchased a Smallrig phone case and a Smallrig 1.55 anamorphic. They did not line up despite the strong magnets on the backplate!!!

Nice review, but you failed to mention: 1- mounting with very fine screw threads, is very easy to damage; 2- there is no UV filter to protect the lens surface; 3- lens are heavy and unbalance the phone; 4- gimble has to be able to cope with extra weight, thats an extra cost
Failed to mention 😉 those are things I don’t even look at… as per gimbal yes it is obvious it needs 3 in 1 gimbal and I’ve filter is such a waste of money. Never used one in 18 years shooting weddings, glamour and fashion… even friend of mine in camera stores told me, don’t waste your money on that. Those will always get damaged and they only make you buy more and more. My lenses…. all of them have 0 scratch and I’ve been shooting in some crazy conditions…

I’m so glad they are sending them to TH-camrs for free but those of us who paid via their KickStarter about 2 years ago haven’t received anything and are now receiving no updates since they promised to send the all last month.
It is not free…. It is exchange for producing video which takes 5 days.. instead of payment.. people don’t understand it. What I have is prototype which still has many issues.. I cannot sell it, only use it .. there is no value.., on the other note I don’t do Kickstarter as there are always issue. Don’t buy anything there

I still have not received my order after 3 months nor are they responding to my emails. Maybe you need to address this issue as you promoted their gear and influenced me and many others to buy. Also next time maybe do some due diligence on companies that send you free stuff. Shiftcam's many issues go back a long way.
After this video came out …. Again way later …. they had major problem with their factory that is why there is a delay as I was informed last week. It is easy to blame TH-camr first who has nothing to do with it. However… what I can do for you is if you send me your order number to my email through my website, I’ll forward it to them directly. The fact they didn’t tell you is whole another issue which upsets me as well. Thank you and have a wonderful day

It’s a shame that this system is again another mounting system. M Type, 17mm and this at something like 12mm and other systems as well. If only there was a standard and lenses and filters from different brands were interchangeable.

Same problem with DSLR lenses and filters. Different diameters on lenses require multiple filters for same purposes (e.g. ND filters) unless an adapter is used which reduces the field of view on wider-angle lenses.
Good kit but way too expensive

The BIGGEST problem with Shiftcam is they are always very LATE in delivery. 2 different times I ordered their product, both they deliver 1-2 years later from their expected delivery date. Which means the product their advertising is already obselete. They still owe me a set of prolens that comes with the snapgrip... and guess what? They still havnt deliver it after 1+ years.

You forgot to tell that shiftcam service sucks after you pay then they will start ignoring you. I order from shiftcam after watching your video but now even after a month they haven’t dispatched my oder. Please stop promoting such brand

Because it is a simple system… Android companies make it harder to access their cameras so it is hard to develop products for Androids
@@ZdenkaDarula We are talking hardware, there is no difference . Making a case with the bayonet for the lens is exactly the same for almost any device. We see all these videos with dedicated products and then if lucky we get offered a generic clip for the lens . It's the equivalent of going to a restaurant and : "Yes, come in we can't give you a nice table like everyone else but there's a small place at the side of the toilets and some left overs you can have very cheap ".
