    hi, is the collegiate campus close to the city center.

      It’s not too far at all, it’s definitely IN the city if you consider suburbs etc. It’s just about a 30 min walk from the high street etc., but there’s loads of buses that go past collegiate and into the city. A student single ticket is £1

    Hi! Good video. One question, is there anything you can't do to your walls in these halls? Like using command strips, blu tack etc

    • @emlaurenbrewin
      @emlaurenbrewin  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shania Bolton you can do what you want, but if there are marks on the walls when you leave, you get charged x

    Quick question, you said that you brought your own freezer, can you put it in your room?

      Heliex Run I never tried it, but I can’t see why not. You do need to get them PAC tested though x

    How come you moved out of the forge Emily? just wondering if its good or not, currently looking for accom

      Nevarius all student housing is a rip off, but the forge wasn’t bad for the price- especially for an en-suite bathroom and with a free gym on site :) I’ve moved out due to the uni year ending early with COVID and I’m moving in with my flatmates from the forge and another flat in a student house next year- and the forge did deal with COVID really well (letting us leave early without having to pay for the third term). First year at uni? :)

      @@emlaurenbrewin Thanks for the quick reply ^^, Yeah It will be next year due to covid uncertainty, Was thinking about staying at the forge for the first year and then seeing what happens :)

    hey really random question, I've just stumbled upon your video. I'm applying for Sheffield Hallam in Sept but I don't really know the area that well, I was thinking of buying a car this year and taking it to uni with me. Do you think it's necessary or is it easy to get around without one? x

    Hiya, I’m thinking of applying to Sheffield Hallam to study in 2021 so the upcoming September. Could you tell me if you recommend it? Is the university nice looking? It is campus based? Did you settle in well etc? Any honest information I’d appreciate it as I can’t visit due to COVID! :)

      Hi! It really depends on what your other options are. If you watch my university story video you'll see that I didn't really put too much thought into which uni I chose haha... however I will say that Hallam is a massive uni, modern and was easy to settle into. There are 2 campuses, 1 in the city centre and one about a 25/30 min walk away. Student accommodation is dotted throughout the city and some are perfectly in the middle of both campuses (mine was). The student body is massive, and Sheffield is a really awesome city to live and study in. I'm really happy here, I love my course and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else!
