Thanks for being so candid about the struggle. My struggle is made even harder by the fact that I live in a tiny apartment and really have no storage. Idk what to do to straighten out my space, but I know I don't want to give up on crafting. 😢

I’m in the same boat. I’ve been very sick for the last 5 years and I moved into an apt so I’m on one level now. It makes it easier to get around in my wheelchair. Yes I’m stuck in a chair now. I’m trying to get thing organized but it’s hard. I bought a big 6 drawer dresser to put a lot of my stuff in and get rid of the plastic cabinets. I can’t open the drawers on the plastic ones now. I also bought some cabinets from ikea. One day at a time. The trick is not to overdo it so I can get back to it for a bit every day. 😹😹😹 right now I feel like a hoarder. 😹😹😹 stay positive!!! That’s the key!!! 💝🥰
Yes, that's great advice, don't over do it. a little everyday. Ya, those plastic drawers get difficult to open. They must sag overtime 🤷♀️

Im in the middle of really organizing my craft room. I have been struggling to make things I love and thats because my room is sooo out of control! I got to the point where I just shut the door because I couldn’t stand being in such an unruly mess! But on Thursday of this past week I said to myself.....get off your butt and get goin' on this room.....so I spent 5 hours and I can actually walk in and around my room! I actually threw things away because I'm never goin' to "pieces" of scrap paper, fabric, ribbon, and mesh....and also how many bags of leaves that are sticky from glue dots do I need!!!lol! I actually purchased a 9 cube shelf with 4 material cubes and tags so I know what's in them! Its still a work in progress....but now my work tables are free of stuff....they now have a home to be in! I'm getting excited now to make new things! Its a lot work getting organized and staying organized....but it's so worth it! Thank you for sharing your organization ideas! Happy crafting🫶🤗

Donna bless your heart for being so transparent! I too have such struggles with organizing but to be honest if I'd craft my HUGH stash I'd have less to organize!! I can't seem to help myself so I'm looking for a crafters 12 Step meeting!! 😂😱😂. I love your style, your projects and your way of instructing. I really love that you incorporate bits of nature in so many projects. I have a small hobby farm (goats, chickens, dogs) with my own old growth cedar forest. It's like paradise! Thank you so much . more organizing tricks would still be great. 😊🙏💜

I am in the same boat- Going thru all my drawers and storage bins- Donated 6 boxes of stuff to a friend…She’s gonna donate to a retirement home after she’s gone thru it. Feels really good to have less and just keep what I love, what I use and what I have for planned/upcoming projects.
I used to enjoy watching haul videos but now I just feel overwhelmed with watching them and all the stuff. Wonder where in the world they put everything that they buy🤪
Ya, I've wondered that too. We only have so much room and time to use the things.
That's a great idea, donating to a retirement home. I've donated to schools and preschools.
It feels so good to get rid of things that we no longer love and enjoy.

It has also been my experience that it doesn’t work if I try to do something completely new and different when it comes to organizing. I still use a paper calendar. I’ve also cut back on buying new stuff and I’m going to use what I have. I’ve decided that I’m first and formost a beadworker so I prioritize that❤👍🏻

Donna, you know what?? I think all us crafters are in the same boat!! I have bought so much and just let it pile up in the closet in my craft room. I also have stacks of 3-drawer carts full of stuff! Earlier last year my brother was here and he looked in my craft room and said "You have too much junk!!!" This was just a few weeks after my husband passed away, and I should have known better than to purge at that time. Well, I cleaned out and donated a carload of craft supplies to my local thrift store. Of course after a while I thought why did I get rid of that stuff???!! LOL I buy supplies and later forget what I was going to do with it. In December I said I was not going to shop online for a few months, and so far I have kept my promise. I 've got a big dollhouse I started to redecorate SEVEN YEARS AGO!! I did manage to get a couple rooms wallpapered last spring, but there it sits. I need to 'CRAFT MY STASH'! So I understand what you are going thru with your stash. As for watching 'hauls', I do watch some of them, but I think, man, I wish I had the money they all spent on that stuff!! lol So good luck with your organizing, can't wait to see how it turns out!!😊😺

I go and preach this stuff, and what do I do??? I purchase my first ever Mystery Box of craft supplies 🤪LOL!! I looked and there was stuff I don't have and things I know I can use, I'll probably give some of it away and give to my daughter who is going to study and become an artist!!
I guess we need to remember to be more mindful of the things we purchase. Being an online creator, I recognize that I will always need to purchase supplies, but I don't have to go crazy with it.

It was a horrible mess but it's getting there little by little.👏👍👍The only thing I've been getting lately is scrap wood from whenever my husband works on something. I have UFOs hanging around from years. So I am finishing them at least one a month before I can craft anything else. So far😂😂😂 it is working.
