Nice and easy explanations and appreciate the stitch counts in the corners. A lot of times that’s all I need to know and creators don’t put them! Appreciate it.

Mine keep coming out either too short or too tall and my join edges don't line up. Any tips please?

Wasn't this pattern one of the most popular crochet patterns on Ravelry 2022?! It said something like most projects started using this pattern regardless of the finished status. It's in my queue! Great tutorial!

what if the project is just a bit too small? how many stitches can I do to make it a bit bigger?

To make your coffee cozy more snug, work until you have a finished length of 7 inches (instead of 8 inches) - so approximately 20 rows in total.
To decrease the height of the coffee cup cozy, decrease the number of starting chains you use. For a 3 inch tall cozy begin with a chain of 19 (instead of 23).
I'm not sure what you mean to make it a bit bigger - the size around the cup or the finished height of the cozy so I gave you to examples on how to resize it.

I crocheted it but doesn't look like yours... 😢how can it end up looking with the pattern in diagonal instead of horizontal?

When you seam it together it should be diagonal. Did you follow the video all the way through?

@@oombawkadesigncrochet yes, I did, twice in fact. I'll keep trying, thanks :)
