Good morning 🌞 Silki Chaz here, you must be very tired about now. I hope You're able to get some sleep this evening. But thank you for the Iceland video I know you have a lot on your mind and you're worried about Apollo. I just want you to know the rest of your followers including myself or praying for the full recovery of little Apollo
Thx so much for keeping us informed. It’ll help keep you focused and get you through this stressful time. 😢 know that my heart is with you and we are all shedding tears for you and Apollo. Praying you get through.
South of Pullman is the Snake River that dumps into the columbia river. Lewiston and clarkston... The Snake is amazing and the columbia river is awesome.
Elec utility needs to bite the bullet d bring in river spanning 200 to 300 ft high masts find high points, make the higher, plant them. Iceland is going to need to bite the bullet and relocate the energy and heat production equipment to mountain tops, piping up well water, and covering the pipes with dozens of feet of earth and gravel. The Blue Lagoon can also be moved. Main facility on top of near by hill, with aux sections cascading in rings down the hill or water piped to a safer area near coast
Crikey! You have never lived in Iceland have you? Plant everything on top of mountains! Weather on mountain tops is really not very nice, not even during the summer, sometimes. It’s a weather that can kill you and it kill’s people, much to often
Thank you Silki for another up date on Iceland and looks like they finally going to put in the taller metal pilons so they can get the power cables up Higher so the radiant heat will not take them out they look like the ones we have here in UK and are about 40 and 50 mts high and because they are higher they can have the farther apart to span the larva carpet anyway wishing you a nice safe trip in the RV and also hope you get your doggie sorted out and also see some nice places
Nobody is fighting a volcano nor fighting “Mother Nature” just diverting lava flows away from infrastructure, repairing the same road several times. I can assure you we love and respect nature and we do not imagine we can fight it and win. Reading the comments here I get the feeling people think Iceland is inhabited by a bunch of idiots
what i allways wonder, beside the awesome work on the defense walls... but, WHERE do they get thos amounts of sand from? this have to be hundreds if not thousands of trucks filled with the sand.. the surrounding area is just rocks and hardend lava... how do they get thos amounts of sand... really stunning. same with rebuilding of roads and power lines.. i mean, they repair or rebuild this things just in couple days or weaks.. if i look at any other countries of europe, thos actions would need lot of month just for the planning.. its kinda like, the whole construction business on iceland is just focussing on getting thos materials prepared and ready to use like, "ok yeah, lets get and store millions of tons of sand, and yeah also the tarmac for roads, let have it all ready, we might use and need it next week".. so, a big industry created just to be prepared for this cases.... If you look at the canarian island called "Las Palmas" , they had a bigger eruption couple years ago.. and there are still some roads closed, because covered by hardend lava..
I’m not sure where the get the material from exactly, not now but in nov.14th 2023 after the big earthquakes in Grindavik they started moving material and a bunch of machines as soon as decision was taken and they had the permit. They got material from a low mountain or a fell in the area (Stapafell I think some lava creeped into that one later) and drove back and forth day and night and they are still doing that but perhaps taking material from another place
The IMO is always vey careful. They want to wait a week before they say there is inflation in Svartsengi again. I think there is inflation/balance but this might go on like the march 16th eruption that continued for 53 days and next eruption started may 29th.
The GPS suggests that the incoming lava is roughly balanced with what’s entering the system from below. We will start to see this balance in the coming days says Kristin Jonsdottir head of dpt. at the Icelandic Met Office We have gas pollution in Reykjavik for the first time in this eruption but it’s not too bad
Girl, you need to learn how to resume things. Make a rule to yourself: every video you post, resume/stuff/compress it in +- 5 minutes. Or, make the long video, then "cut it", make a resume and publish it with "[resume]" added to the title 👍
Prayers for Apollo.
Sweet little pup.
Hopefully Apollo will get the care he needs soon and you will all be back home before you know it! ❤

...and where are the LaGnies supposed to park now?? Did Mother Earth think of that?...Hmm?..
There is no winning against a volcano, only a sometimes reduction of the damage.

I have a dog named Apollo too. He’s a Rottweiler. As far as the title question, my money is on the eruption.
Mine too!Nature always wins!
