One mistake= rip run Couch commenters cracking jokes and distracting the runner and making him laugh while playing. Finishes run with a good time, no mistakes at all... Great Run
Okay so I played this game through a bunch of times, and I always thought that the ending was that you left the videogame and came to *our* (i.e., the players') world, not that you go back to boring level 1. Which was a kinda lame ending, but in a meta these-characters-were-trapped-in-a-videogame-all-along sense, not in an anticlimactic sense. This is supported by the fact that in the original Japanese text, one of the levels has a fake "high scores" listing of other players who attempted and died, with your own entry left blank.
36:54 I didn't see a Phantasy Star run, so it must've been an individual stream or something. But why isn't there a Phantasy Star game in this RPGLB? Oh well, maybe next time.
Attack MELT seems to be a percentage based. I took a 300hp mutant into tower floor 1. Ran into a slime which MELTed 71 hp off me. Can't find any formulae for this on sites.
I'm pretty sure it's a bit, given that they go out of their way to mispronounce everyday, "non-foreign" words if they happen to be the name of a monster.
Run Start: 10:50
LMAO the Steiner promo at the beginning! Limit break was awesome this year...
Run 10:50
The wrestling quoting has left me in tears. I congratulate the couch.
God Deuceler is such an amazing commentator. I love it when he commentates on any run. His commentary on Bich's run of FF5 for ESA was amazing too.
One of my favorite runs. He's got a great personality.
This run and that run are my two favorites of all time. The deuce bich combo is just too good.
This and FFLII were my favorite games growing up. Thank you for posting this. Hugely nostalgic and entertaining to watch.
LOL that Steiner math gift just keeps on giving. :D

Great Run
Remember:
God is a little Amish man on the Gameboy screen.
lol no one know what thats is from huh?
Meat progression.
Meat progression.
MEAT
PROGRESSION
I bet the Creator never saw that coming!
Which is odd, he should've given he created it all
Between burping the worm and the meat jokes this was a fun speed run to watch
39:50 the "P" in P-Frog/etc = Poison.
Man! I think this game is amazing!
Steiner Math never fails
Very fun to watch! I played this game as a kid and didn't realize until now how crappy it actually is ha. FF Legend 2 was a major improvement.

Always remember to keep track of your bouillon values, gamers!
Party: We came, SAW and conquered!
I feel kinda disappointed that the mutant wasn't loaded up with saws on the rush to Suzaku.
The Sofa Squad and Bich had me in pieces xD
ESP = 100% dodge any physical attack like you were using a shield.

There was up until a couple weeks before the event. Phantasy Star 2 any% was taken. Sadly, neither the initial runner nor the backup could make it.
I just use the monster I think look cool, hmm seems to always work.

does anyone reading this happen to know the key floors to memories for using teleport in late game?
Yeah this game definitely is not simple. I'd describe it as complicated and difficult.
1:07:15 Two guys in the audience tilt their heads at the same time lol...
It's rock sirloin
Are they mispronouncing the "foreign" words on purpose, other than the obvious obake? Because it's actually hilarious how he says "oni" and "boolean"
I'm pretty sure it's a bit, given that they go out of their way to mispronounce everyday, "non-foreign" words if they happen to be the name of a monster.
It can actually be hard to keep a streak of unintentional mispronunciation.
"If he missteps a single tile then the run is dead." ...and how exactly is this marathon-safe at ALL?
Because Bich is running. Things never go wrong when Bich is running Kappa.
Wow, did no one in the audience catch the Steiner math reference? For shame. XD
A boolean is literally just a true or false flag
I heard that ESP increases the chance or the magnitude of Mutant changes happening after battle. But I can't confirm.
boolean is pronounced boo + lee+ on
For reals though?
Who are all these people who donate over $117,000? Hell I would have played for less
Nice Pokemon hack......right?
Game is 7 years older. If anything pokemon would be a hack of this.
SaGa>>>>>ALL pokemons
"BASICALLY" the commentary is for people new to the game than people that actually played it. Bummer
To be fair not many people played this. I played it and still appreciate the commentary.
