    You are Korean and you live in Austria! That’s cool! I’m half Italian and half Canadian!
    I tried many face primers, and they don’t do much on my skin. I sometimes use a tiny bit of bronzer with a big brush on my forehead and under my cheekbones, and with a small brush as eyeshadow. No contouring for me! 😝 I like to use MAC paint pot in Painterly as an eye primer. I’m testing tinted brow gel and so far, I don’t really like it. Setting spray is nice, but not a must. Be careful because some settings sprays contain alcohol. Have a good weekend! 😊

      Half Italian! That's also cool! Italy is a beautiful country! Do you then speak Italian as well? I tried to learn it for some years... 😊💕
      Is MAC paint pot a cream product? I should check it out... I always love to hear your thoughts! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences, Stephy! 😘💕

      @@BalletPink Yes! I speak French, English, Italian and Spanish. I also studied German, but my school only offered two semesters and that was not enough, as it’s not an easy language to learn. I am still sad about that because I was doing very well and my teacher was so nice. So I only know a few words and phrases. I love learning languages and traveling!
      MAC paint pot is a cream product. It doesn’t crease on my lids, but they are not very oily. Maybelline also makes a similar product, the Color Tattoo, which is a lot cheaper. I liked it but, for some reason, I can’t find it in Québec anymore. I bought the Revlon version of it, Colorstay cream eyeshadow, and it’s pretty much the same as Maybelline.
      By the way, the eyeshadows in the Clarins quads contain a base mixed in the pigments, so there is no need for an extra eyeshadow base product. I love them!
      Happy Sunday!

      @@PetiteStephy Oh, that's great! You're so talented! I'm sure, you'll learn German quickly, when you start again! 😊💕
      MAC paint pot sounds interesting. I might check it out. I also used to have Clarins single shadows. I don't know, if it was with a base, too...

    Thank you for mentioning lash curlers!! I always see models talking about how they can't live without them. I have tried SO many different curlers on my normal length lashes - all of which had no effect and one or two of which pulled out my lashes.

    I tried them all haha! But if i have to remove some I would say the eyeshadow primer and brow gel need to go. The rest can stay but not really a staple, except for lash curler. I don't use mascara a lot, only when i'm filming or going out where i know i'm taking pictures. But I use curler everyday, I have long lashes but it's pointing down and sometimes it gets into my eye lol. Jia i'm smiling when you said about the contour, i have a round face too and it's hard to contour 😂.

    • @BalletPink
      @BalletPink  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh, your problem with long lashes, I'd like to have! 😅
      May I ask you, what's the reason, that the eyeshadow primer is not really a necessity for you? Is it also too dry for you, or your eye make-up doesn't smudge much?
      Thank you so much for your comment, Tara! 😘💕

    • @Itstara07
      @Itstara07 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BalletPink I use concealer on my lids as well and set it with powder before i apply my eyeshadow. It works fine for me, the eyeshadow primer is drying and hard to blend or maybe i haven't found a good one yet. Skipping eye primer is one less step from my makeup routine. 😂

    I have the same skin color as you and I use bronzer as contour, there are lighter bronzers as well, the ones I love are the Guerlain Terracotta classic bronzer (chose the light cool tone as the warm tone looks a bit yellowish) and Bronze Goddess from Estée Lauder. A bit on my forehead at the hairline, on the cheeks, both sides of the nose and at the jaw line as well. After 40 it makes a huge difference. Obviously I don't use as much as the 25 year old youtubers, just to notice myself the difference. 😊

      This sounds very tempting! Maybe I should try it as well! Especially because I've got a nich bronzer brush, which I have no use...😅 Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!😊💕

    It's great to explore products, as perhaps you can find a gem. Setting spray initially sounded like an unnecessary extra step in my routine, but finding a great one totally made my face look refreshed and less dry when I wore foundation. Of course, some people won't find it useful. Everyone's face and skin condition is different. Bronzer, I do not regularly use but my sister gave me one a year ago and it actually came in handy when I ordered a foundation online (that I could not return) which was too pale for me. But now that foundation is gone and the bronzer remains in some drawer, unfinished.
    I do not use false lashes at all. I think they make me look quite angry and intense! 🤣 This was a super fun topic, Jia. 💜

      Thank you so much for your kind words, Ally! 😘💕
      Oh, may I ask, which setting spray it is? 😊
      Interesting to hear, you could use your bronzer for correcting the shade of foundation. 😄👍

      @Al-isthatyou 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BalletPink Absolutely. It is the Flower Beauty Hydrating setting spray (blue and white packaging). A drugstore option! And you're very right about the bronzer. Money was spent - I had to use that foundation somehow. 😆 At least I liked the formula at the time.

    I don’t use most of the products you don’t use either. Less is more as we age. Concealer doesn’t look good on me anymore. I don’t have dark circles under my eyes therefore concealer is not a must for me, it just makes wrinkles more prominent. I also stopped using foundation, YSL All hours was my favorite but they changed the formula. On the hunt of a similar foundation I discovered BB Creams ( from Clarins and Nars) . I have never looked back. They are much more natural looking and forgiving on mature skin. No bronzers, no self tanners, no brow gels and no liquid eyeliners, no matte lipsticks. I rarely use lipliners ( on special occations only ) and if I do, I make sure that it doesn’t look like I have a lipliner.
    As for face primer, I use Clarins flash Balm to hide my large pores. It works wonderful for that purpose.

      I like that... less is more... 😊💕
      I used to love Bobbi Brown BB Cream. But I stopped buying it, just because it always took so long to use up both foundation and BB cream. 😅 But sometimes I miss it. I liked to use BB cream on more relaxed days. I might bring it back to my collection! Thanks a lot for sharing your story! 😊💕

    That saves a lot of money. ✌🏻😁
    I don't use primers either, cos I use sunscreen.
    I don't think Asians like us (I am Chinese) need to use bronzers. That kind of dramatic make up and heavy conturing tend to make our faces look dirty, in my opinion.
    Lip liners were huge back in the 90s. I don't think the younger generation uses them anymore.

      Haha... Good point! 😄👍
      I use sunscreen as well! Just bought the renewed Clarins UV Plus, although I liked it less than the old version. You might be right concerning the bronzer and the contour... somehow don't suit our face... Thank you for sharing your thoughts! 😊💕

    I use lip liner more for blending when it's a lip color that's too light. But I prefer not to use lipliners.
    Your video makes me want to look at what I use while trashing the other stuff that I don't use as much.
    I love your makeup, the colors look great on you, yet so natural, just how I like my makeup (when I wear it😊). Take care!

      I used to have a product, which should double lip liner and lipstick. I wanted to use it as an easy-to-use lipstick, but it was too dry. Lip liners have definitely different consistency than lipsticks.

    My makeup routine has changed these last 5 years from full face of makeup to minimalist. I'm a lot happier when I use less products in my routine. I've given up on: primer, foundation, lipstick, false eyelashes, and bronzer.

    Every makeup products are unnecessary it’s just a tool to enhance each individual’s beauty. We are born to decorate ourselves and feel better about ourselves. Im a makeup artist and i won’t put any foundation if a model has flawless face but just use tiny amount of concealer. Bronze if necessary, im not a big fan of contouring as well i feel we don’t have to alter ourselves. Like what Bobbi said be who you are
