I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that struggled with this target lol. I imaged this end of September with around 30 hrs total integration. In any one raw image I couldn’t see any nebulosity with 5 min subs LRGB. Was nervous that this was gonna be a fail. Processing wasn’t easy either, after several attempts had a final image I was really happy with. Noise was a fight even with all the hours I had. Very nice final image.
Great tutorial Peter. The ghost is on my list of targets for this year. The video was really helpful. I hadn’t thought of using Photoshop on the starless image to improve it. I usually just use PI, but I will definitely put Ps into my workflow as I do use both. Thanks again. Dr B from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦
Hi Peter great video! Can you explain to me better the technical reason why you had to lower the exposure time from five minutes to three minutes? Does this mean that the zwo am5 mount can't handle 5 minutes of exposure at 600mm focal length? (many people successfully use focal lengths over 1000mm with the Am5). Thanks
After years of accumulating gear, I'm thinking of selling most of my stuff and getting an ASKAR FRA400 and ZWO AM3/AM5. Looks like I might be going the right path.
Awesome tutorial. Nice to see you again!
Absolutely amazing tutorial, thank you SO much!!
Great video, Peter.
