I've walked the streets of Deira before, and that place is always buzzing with activity. Whether you go there at the time of day you recorded this video or even at 11pm. This place never sleeps. It's supposed to be the dodgier part of Dubai but is still safe. I took the metro to get there and wandered around, going to cellphone and laptop shops. Bargaining for cheap prices so I could return to my country and sell those items at a profit. Deira is where the people who can't afford rent in the nicer Instagram areas of Dubai end up living.
