A young and handsome Douglas McCarthy, 30 years ago. He should have had more recognition for his talent, not just in Nitzer Ebb, but with Alan’s collaborative project Recoil. Douglas McCarthy dazzled as one of the lead vocalists on that project. Just a shame his health declined, but as I came to discover Alan’s music, I also discovered a singer called Douglas McCarthy, who was/is very talented. The raw edge of being/looking unassuming, although he definitely had the looks, made British musicians like him and his band special, - they don’t look like American rock stars - thank God. But buckets of talent and potential. I know Nitzer Ebb are successful, but I wish Doug McCarthy had been able to realise his own potential more fully, as he did with Recoil, singing on Faith Healer (dazzling), Incubus and Stalker.
he's not an awful person, it's just an interviewer who asks pointless stupid questions that really doesn't make sense at all also she's very bad at english and it kind of doubles the annoyance
He’s not awful - just typical English sense of humour that doesn’t translate well into Russian. If it was an English interviewer they would have taken the piss back and knew he was just having a laugh. He was just clearly very tired, and high and having to deal with annoying questions like the ones he’s being asked - ie his band is Nitzer Ebb, why the fuck does she keep asking about Depeche Mode !?? Have some respect - he could have said ‘why do you keep asking me about Depeche Mode - I’m not their manager !? But he he was just teasing them. Also he’s about 24 in this video -not many UK bands (probably none) would have been bothered to even visit Russia at that time, it is really difficult to get visas and bring equipment over from England - so they would have had to put a lot of effort in to actually get there in the first place and being on an independent label would mean they would have had to sort all that out themselves - no major label doing all the organisation for them - so give the guy a break. Clearly Bon has a bit more patience with the annoying questions - which to a normal working class guy from London not used to such strange questions are pretty fucking weird. I’m surprised he didn’t walk off - people in bands are just normal people like you and me - sometimes they can be dicks. I met Doug and Bon about 10 years ago and they were both really cool guys - but also I didn’t keep asking them stupid questions about Alan Wilder !!

Как же мучительно слушать её вопросы
Hello, does anyone know the name of the song that plays in the background between 0:20 and 0:40 seconds? Thanks!
