I'm very grateful to the animated series for turning Maul, a sort of nothing villain who appeared in The Phantom Menace and "died" instantly, into one of the best and most interesting characters in Star Wars, with only Darth Vader as a better villain.
My only complaint is that I still don't know how he lived without food and water for so long but I assume the snake mentioned about "offerings" to Maul which means he was probably eating people or whatever he could get. This still doesn't explain how he was able to shit or piss. Again this was the only plot hole or at least the only thing I have a problem with Maul coming back.
"The anger and hate kept me alive." That's why Dark Side users survive lightsabres to the gut a lot more than Light Side users. I never understand why so many fans fail to understand that.
@@Blukeylukey true. But at the time you should be able to understand the hesitation a lil bit. Like this open a new can of worms. Now we can have an excuse for every Sith Lord to comeback
@user-km4lo8zz6z Eh, I remember watching it when it came out, and all I thought was how cool it was they were actually making a character out of Maul. I feel like people only recently started to have issues with it, which is only valid really because it's happened more times now
Now that you've watched this, you should read Dark Disciple. It's from what was supposed to be a Clone Wars story arc in season 7, but when CW was canceled after season 6 they made it into a book instead. (I know there's a season 7 now, but that was a short season made years later just to tie up loose ends.) It's definitely worth reading if you want to find out what happens to Ventress.
That’s maul’s biological mother. Savage to.. and the other brother that was killed they all share the same father, but mother is there actual biological mother… you don’t learned on the show, you’d have to read a comic
Lucas had planned a sequel trilogy, in which Darth Maul would’ve been the main villain. Those plans were scrapped when the franchise was sold to Disney. I still think they should make a Darth Maul film.

Sam Witwer was the perfect choice to voice Maul, in my opinion.
I really wanted to see him as a live action star killer but never say never.
Fun enough, he did a good impression of Peter Serafinowicz’s dialogue (the original actor of Darth Maul next to Ray Park), however short they were.

As a plot device it gets more stupid the more frequently it is used. Like Reva survived *Twice,* and the first time it's when she was a child.

Glad you guys appreciate Ventress and her character arc. For me, it's almost as cool as Maul coming back. It's an integral part of this story arc.
This episode was when the "kid show" label completely fell off. Darth Maul executing people ISIS-style was something no kid-friendly show would do.
