I remember the first time I heard this song. I was 6 years old. It was June 1992 and we had just finished celebrating my Dad's birthday at Sizzler. We were starting to settle into our new life in Australia and did not have all the riches in the world. My Dad worked long hours and saved a lot for the small comforts of life like a CD player or dining out, so this was really special. Before I could indulge at the dessert bar, Dad opened his one gift which my Mum wrapped and it was Kenny's 'Breathless' album. I knew that this was a special gift because we only had two other CDs at home as they were quite expensive to buy.
Later that night when I heard this song for the first time, it made me feel really loved.
It's now 2021 and to my surprise I found the 'Breathless' CD and a discman while spring cleaning during lockdown. When it came to this song, I thought about all the sacrifices my parents made throughout their lives. I cried tears of joy.

Ana Johnson I agree most musicians who are famous nowadays don’t write or play their own songs anymore like the Og’s from the 90’s and earlier years the songs had strong emotional messages to them where as most songs nowadays are just about drugs, sex or you can’t even understand what the artists are saying depending on the type of music.

So the wife an I were touring a beach home for sale yesterday. Lovely Cape Cod design. We walked in and the owner was playing Kenny G Greatest Hits over the built in sound system. Instantly transported back to when the songs were fresh and new. We put in an offer because the way the music made me feel happy and somewhat generous as to the asking price :) BTW, I met Kenny G a couple times when I volunteered for the Starlight Foundation back in the mid 90's and he was the main attraction for a couple fund raiser/silent auctions. Good times.
