Comedy should be able to address sensitive issues. If it’s funny, it’s funny, and if you’re offended, then that sucks for you. There is a line however where it starts to become hate speech, and at that point the joke is gone and it’s just offensive. Honestly I have aspects of my life that are unfortunate (don’t want to get into it but it’s out of my control) and I’d much rather see a good joke about it online than another “sending love” or something that’s a useless as that. Same goes for this. It’s like people are exploiting those “sending love” comments for some fucking likes, rather than doing something nice for the person/people. People are doing that with the “R.I.P Kobe” comments. No shit he was a great dude, so stop exploiting his death for likes. It seems nice on the surface but it’s incredibly disrespectful. Whatever I could use a good laugh instead of whatever garbage you’d suggest commenting

If my comment appeared harsh then that was the intended effect, to snap people into thinking. The 'comedy' of memeing about something like corona virus can so easily lead to mindlessness as internet culture proves over and over again. An event that has resulted in hundreds of deaths and effected thousands of lives should not become muted through absent minded commenting. I welcome an argument back.
