- Shaykh Mohammad Yasir al-Hanafi presents a unique series explaining the position and validity of tasawwuf/Sufism (spirituality) and its related practices in Islam. He brings copious evidences from the Qur'an, Hadith, statements of the pious predecessors and the Imams of the ummah. As well as being a series on tasawwuf, he answers common objections raised in this day and age by its deterrents, namely the pseudo-salafis of the modern era who have attacked those who align themselves to the practices of tasawwuf in their books and throughout social media.
In this episode, Shaykh Mohammad Yasir al-Hanafi gives statements from the Imams of the salaf and later Imams on the legitimacy of tasawwuf/sufism as a science in Islam. He quotes directly from those scholars that the opponents of tasawwuf claim to follow, thus proving their bias and hypocrisy in attacking others for adhering to this science.

The sheikh treats deen as content for a side show. He should tone down, have some respect to the scholars he has issues with (eg Abu Ibrahim) and show sime humility as he is not a talk show host but a teacher. He obviously has knowledge but must not let it go to his head. We are all brothers in Islam and should follow the sirat al mustaqeem which is the middle, moderate way.

It is said that many a scholar will be in the fire because of wanting to be known as a scholar (Sahih Muslim 1905).
So showing off how knowledgeable one is and insulting other scholars to be seen as a great scholar is a dangerous thing to do.

This Shaykh is the number one lawyer in Islam! Lawyer: advocate, jurist, learned legal scholar. And quite simply, a learned scholar.
He received his education in traditional seminary and most of which are unbiased platform of Islamic science.

Actually 73 sects. the only one to enter janna will be those following the right aqeeda which is strictly the Qur'an and the way of the prophet ( s.a.w), that is his sunnah. Nothing else will benefit us so forget the sufis and the rest who bring in bidah and which was not practised by the prophet(s.a.w) and the sahaba . This is not rocket science to understand.

As you can see this series is in response to a video posted by a Salafi. We would be fine to stay quiet regarding this issue, however these Salafis believe these issues. On top of that, we would be fine to leave these differences to a side, but the Salafi movement persists on giving Da'wah to their beliefs and doesn't stop attacking ours, therefore we are compelled to defend ourselves rather than let their beliefs (which are - in our eyes - incorrect) prevail.
Even the name "Deobandi" that has been assigned to us shouldn't be necessary but it is, and the reason for that is to distinguish ourselves from the other sects in order to avoid confusion.
I hope you understand now, and I also pray to Allah to grant us all true guidance/hidayah, and understanding and acceptance of Haqq and unity upon it. And also that He forgives us for our shortcomings and saves us from Jahannam and enters us into Jannatul Firdaws.

He doesn’t need to talk about it, because it’s just a dream. Molana Ashraf Ali thanvi saw a dream and heard those words “Laa’Illaaha il-lal Laahu Ashraf Ali Rasool-ul-Laah” and “Al-Laahumma Salli ‘Ala Saiyyidina Nabiyina Ashraf Ali”. He was shocked himself so he went to a scholar to get it’s interpretation and the interpretation was that Maulana Ashraf Ali Taanvi is strong in following the Sunnah of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam so it doesn’t mean he became a nabi or anything, may Allah protect us from those thoughts Ameen. And neither did moulana ashraf ali thaanvi tell the interpreter out of pride but he said it to find out what it meant which is fine and normal to do so. And if someone says those words you have mentioned and believing he really is the nabi then that is kufr.
Morally it’s just a dream and that was interpreted by a scholar that’s all.

Allah has made the salaf and the salafis emerge out of Madinah to teach Islam to the world. And now you want to challenge the generation of Sahabas? The prophet SAW said: “Faith retreats to Madeenah like a snake returns to its hole.” This hadeeth also indicates that just as Islam spread from Madeenah, it will return to it. He did not say it will return back to your Saharanpur deoband. Why dont you talk about your books and what filth it has. Your books encourage to go to graves and asking help from them. Why do you hide that fact? Deobandis have been fooling innocent people from decades.

You are trying to use the weird sufi in a deceiving manner. Sufism to those ulema meant to do things to get closer to Allah. Modern and early modern sufism entails of things that were not promoted in the aqeedah of many of these imams. For example; hadrah, singing naat before fajr and so on. To those scholars, tasawwuf meant to get closer to Allah( in a spiritual sense) .
Deobandi never do naat and stuff. You are mixing lot if things.

95 % of this 21 century Sufi that enter in Malaysia from Indonesia were deviance group of Sufi in a researched by the Malaysian scholars together with the scholars of tasawuf from the Kuala Lumpur religious council so don't ever get too exaggerated becauce the 21 century Sufis were not alike the 7 century Sufis. @@abyrahman6610 Taking photos. They are big scholars and we respect and follow them but as human being we should remember the fact that no human is infallible/ error free. Therefore, they might've made a mistake at some point in their lives. Sheikh Bin Baz رَحِمهُ الله regard that taking photos are impermissible. However, in one of a recent or old video Sheikh Assim explained very vividly, how it is permissible with a very correct explanation!
Shaikh Ibn ul-‘Uthaymeen rahimahullah said:
“As for viewing pictures in magazines, newspapers, and television, then if it is a picture that is not human, then there is no harm in viewing it. However, he should not possess it due to this picture. If it is a picture of a human, then if viewing it is with pleasure or enjoyment by looking at it, then it is haram. Unfortunately you dont understand,..and maybe you havent studied enough or just havent realised yet the false philosophies of sufism today,.....you dont realise the 90% of the sufi groups out there today are in major error starting with calling on others besides Allah...i have studied most sufi groups to this day in a span of over 25 years,...ive studied the naqshbandi haqqani,..,chishti from dar ulooom,..Qadri from shaykh Taher Qadri whom ive met,...ive studied and met the scholars from the haba'ib,..and i have studied the books and sat with the scholars of the shadhili of Nuh hamim keller ..Muhammad bin yahya anninowy ,..and for many years hamza yusuf Just to name a few . All of whom i have known for years,.....what you dont realise is that all of these tariqas and sufi groups include innovations and wrong phiosophies . This young boy is only blinded by his group and he is perpetuating the wrong ideas he has been taught. unfortunately the Nas does not suport his claims.

I have watched all 4 of your refutation with utmost patience as it is more of shouting , name calling and sort of gymnastics rather then constructive argument. Clearly, you could not refute any of the stories and quote Abu Ibrahim mentioned in his lecture against deobandi aqida,which means all of the stories are true. You tried to define wahdutul wajud , what some scholars commented on your belief etc, etc. Noticeably, you have all the books at your disposal except Quran and that's says all about your aqida or your belief system. You tried to distinguish between aqaid and tasaswuf, but it really boils down what you believe. Your belief system is your aqida. Your aqaid is based not on Quran and prophet(saw) teachings, but man made, interpreted and defined by so your so called " Ulamas". All you have presented in four tiring and annoying episodes are quotes and references of people whom you assume to be great "scholar" so great that they even create and define creed,obviously its your creed not the teaching of prophet (saw). True Muslims creed comes from Quran and Sunnah not from the interpretation of any scholars. You have studied 100 of books, apply your ulamas interpretation in your life not Quran or Sunnah. If a non Muslim listens to your lectures then he or she may get confused who are your prophets, yes " prophets" . Because all the materials you have presented to support your aqida is from your Ulamas and nothing from Quran or from prophet(saw).
So, who are deviants? Who follows Quran and Sunnah or the people who follow aqaid made my normal human? You are trying to use the weird sufi in a deceiving manner. Sufism to those ulema meant to do things to get closer to Allah. Modern and early modern sufism entails of things that were not promoted in the aqeedah of many of these imams. For example; hadrah, singing naat before fajr and so on. To those scholars, tasawwuf meant to get closer to Allah( in a spiritual sense) .
