Welcome to a brand new Walt Disney World Vlog series where I'm doing a full week in Disney World solo.
Today we're flying from London Heathrow to Orlando International in Economy with Virgin Atlantic. We then get Mears Connect to the resort where we're the first stop! (that never happens) Before we check in to Disney's All Star Sports Resort for a 7 night stay.

I stayed in Disney Pop Century in 2021 also making a solo trip to Disney. The room is 100% identical. I even scrolled several times your review to find name of the hotel.
I'm at Pop on my next trip so that's good to know!
Try coming from Australia. We are lucky if we reach our resort by 11:30pm! In May, I didn’t get to MCO until after midnight. Sigh.

Haha I see what you've done there 😉 😉... But yeah I know what you mean lol those 10 minutes can feel like 10years when you're SO CLOSE to Disneyland. Like, at that point it's actual cruelty - I don't care. 😂😂😂

Did you do the online check in for your room? It saves time so you can just go straight to your room & bypass guest services. I’ve done it the last three trips. I start the process in the MDE app a couple of days beforehand. They will let you know the room number as soon as it is available. At POP Century, it was available about noon or 12:30pm. But when I arrived at 11:30pm at Port Orleans Riverside I was able to go straight to my room & unpack and sleep.
I have done online check in previously, however I'm not a fan, while yeah it means you can go direct to your room, I like being able to talk to a cast member as soon as I get to my resort, and with online check in you can't ask whether there are any complimentary upgrades available. I always book over the phone so I'm not missing out on my room requests as I put them in when I'm booking so overall I prefer going to the front desk for a more traditional check in
