I remember a military buddy who fell asleep during a live fire exercise. He was driving an M2 Bradley, and when it was his time to move... nothing. The TC (vehicle commander) finally woke him up, and they got moving. His excuse was "I was meditating, Sergeant". We never let that euphamism go. I wasn't sleeping, i was meditating! Learned from the guru!

But we are talking of Trump ... I am pretty sure he himself actually believes he is innocent.
The same happens in interrogations. The suspect gets questioned for a while, then when left alone sometimes goes to sleep. That's when they're pretty sure the suspect is guilty.
He could be doing it for the exact reason his cronies praised him: to undermine the court.

Most polls are done online and are biased. Look at the number of respondents and their demographics. As of 2022, there were 168 million registered voters. About 33% democrat, 27% republican, most of the rest unaffiliated. The most recent cnn poll was of 1212 people. That is ridiculous. There is no legitimate way to extrapolate that data to reflect tens of millions of people. You may as well take a poll of your neighbors.
I'm not saying we don't all need to get out and vote when the time comes, but I will say that the last decade has taught us that these kinds of polls aren't the most reliable anymore.
