Fun Fact: Apple was going to include a Back Button for the iPhone to get you back to the previous app or menu you were using, it started in 2007 when the first iPhone was being made. Steve Jobs wanted to add a Back Button but Imran Chaudhiri disagreed saying that a Home Button serving a single purpose which was getting you to the Home Screen would give the user confidence in navigating the device. But adding a back button would make things unreliable, complicated and confusing. Because it is used to return you back to the last app or menu you were using or the home screen. Imran said that the Back Button’s unpredictability would annoy the user so he favored a software solution instead with every app having a back shortcut at the top left of the screen.

Fun Fact: Steve jobs was very strict in confidentiality while developing the first iPhone. He even managed to separate the people developing the hardware stuffs, from the people who are developing the software stuffs. So both teams have literally no idea what the iPhone would look like as a whole, upto the presentation.

The Steve Jobs era of Apple was actually WAY better honestly like most people say, without question. The Tim Cook era is still good, but not as much as when Steve Jobs was still around. What Steve done was something new, completely revolutionary and the gaps between were unimaginable for normal person. What happens after he pass is the same parts being upgraded and the gap between seems to shrink. Also look at the price of the ads which is completely fine from the affordable perspective but was not really needed for Jobs to make the crowd excited.

The differences between 11-13 and all their variations are splitting hairs. MINOR speed increases (unnoticeable), MINOR camera changes between models, minor battery life. All models of the 11, 12, and 13 are indistinguishable to 99% of the population. Same goes for basically everything between the 6S and the X.
You could have a Xs or a 13 Pro and nobody would be able to tell the difference, not even the owners of them.
13 has very notable battery life improvement. the 13mini has better battery than even the 12 pro. the 13 pro max is actually very good in battery while the 12 pro max kinda sucks
I had a 3G and a 7+ with various phones between them before switching to LG's ThinQ and, later, the Samsung Galaxy. I love my current Galaxy S22 Ultra (aka the Note), but there's something about my old phones that I adored. From the Blackberry Pearl 8130 to a Samsung Blackjack 2 and a Motorola RAZR V3. Awesome phones killed by the iphone.

The 6S is the biggest upgrade for me : 2GB RAM, 4k video, 3D Touch and the A9 was 70% faster than the A8. That's why it supports the current iOS 15 while the iPhone 6 stopped at iOS 12.
I know what RAM is from buying computers my entire life but Jesus Christ it was like only 2 years ago I realized "Steve Jobs puts SSDs on these things in 2007, that's why they respond instantly, duh." There's a level of ambient retardation in everyone. It was 10 years after iPhone laptop-makers decided maybe they should use SSDs lol.

You’re completely ignoring carrier contract subsidies. iPhones have not suddenly become more expensive under Tim Cook. 2 year contract prices were lower for initial purchase but tacked on big increases for monthly payments. So $999 upfront for iPhone X seems like way too much at first but it’s actually more consumer friendly than $500 for original iPhone plus extra monthly fees stacked on top that no one remembers to account for. That’s not even adjusting for inflation, which evens everything out that much more and renders the whole argument that apple products under Tim Cook are suddenly so much more expensive and not worth it complete nonsense
@@ProphetOfTruth_ Ok, but the value is still pretty mediocre. Android has still usually been better in value, as well as several other areas like camera, personalization, screens, and battery life (which Apple might have beaten them on this time).

I’ve had an iteration of every iPhone except the first two. I started with a 3GS. I had the 10 when it came out and curiosity got me so I switched over to the note 9. After like 8 months I had to switch back. I did the same thing with the iPhone 5, tried a galaxy s6 and hated it. Promptly switched back. Now I’m part of the 13 pro max gang. And if the rumors are true, I’ll probably be upgrading to the 14 next year. If the rumors end up being untrue, then I’ll stick with the 13 until the 15 comes out.

The price has been quite similar, there have only been up to $50 increases or less since the iPhone X came out
@@johanns3142 and counting inflation, the prices are staying the same and in some cases going down. I paid $600 for an Xr, that's only $100 more than the original iPhone 10 years before that. And the SE being $100 LESS than the original, both gens? That's a good deal. And anyone not on an SE complaining about price is stupid. It's the look and feel of the 4-5, with the specs of the 10-11 and the price less than the 1. Can't complain about it honestly.
