No need to worry because 1. If waterfall is located at tourist area, the guard will remind all visitors or even closed the area 2. The victims are mostly people with less travel experiences, or even local tourist... for experienced people, they should be able to see when the water is going to be floating.

That place that you asked is Pak trobos ( the place that many truck ? And the place at the second rifer is located of erupted Semeru mountain 2 years ago, and about 50 people kill3d at that moment. I live there,bout 20 minute where u were drive at the river
If u realized that the road before the second river you can see many houses broken and many orhers covered by sand, that becoz the erupted of semeru mountain

on the first minutes, both of you has passed the cold lava river. be carefull because the joyable view suddenly become frightening situation if the rains showed up. many trucks and excavators was swiped away. those villages was on the foot of the volcano. you can see the remains of the erruption. but enjoy your amazing trip. explore the unique places and beautiful scenery.
I always needed a fan at night in Bali to keep the mosquitoes off me. I also used air con because I can’t sleep when I’m to hot because at home I like it at 67 degrees F and use blanks. Hahahaha, I’m from Alaska If that answers any questions. Lol.

I have traveled from Jakarta to the islands of Sumatra, Java and Bali, now I am on holiday on Sulawesi Island, in Sulawesi there are also lots of very beautiful natural views. There are still few local and foreign tourists. However, it is very suitable for adventures in the wild, it’s just that the prices of basic necessities such as food and accommodation on this island are more expensive, and the weather is hotter than on the islands of Sumatra, Java and Bali.
The waterfall is so beautiful, I live near there and have never been there. oh yes, the snake fruit there is the best of all types of snake fruit in Java and the waterfall you pass is a lava flow from Mount Merapi which produces a lot of sand for buildings
in lumajang has the best snake fruit grade A product. the waterfall's river that you had crossed with motorbike is sometimes fullfiled with cold lahar from semeru mountain.

The first river you guys crossed was "Curah Kobokan". When the Semeru mountain erupts sand, rock and water with mud will flow through that river. It could be bless (for the sand miner and sometimes when it overflows, it becomes disaster. That happened around 2 years ago. Many people died in that area and in the river because the eruption brought not only mud and sand but also very hot cloud / smoke. Enjoy the nature and be safe ❤
Even if you use a motorbike, my advice is to use the car route mode, and don't forget to check the toll avoidance checklist, so you don't enter dangerous road areas.

The first river you guys crossed was "Curah Kobokan". When the Semeru mountain erupts sand, rock and water with mud will flow through that river. It could be bless (for the sand miner and sometimes when it overflows, it becomes disaster. That happened around 2 years ago. Many people died in that area and in the river because the eruption brought not only mud and sand but also very hot cloud / smoke.
