      I agree! Wasn't sure what to expect from a smaller version of a bike I had already looked at, but they really did a great job refining it and being creative

    As far as your regular comment on bottle cage bosses. I do agree they are nice to have, not so much for water bottles, but to give options for mounting locks, etc.
    As someone that rides bikes daily, I never use an old fashioned water bottle. I feel those bottles and their cages are more for the road bike crowd. Instead, I will use a wide mouth Hydroflask so I can add ice and my water stays cold. My wife needs constant water and uses a hydration bladder. Depending on the season, I throw one or two 32 - 40 oz insulated bottles into panniers. Bottom line, for e-bikes and especially cargo bikes, people are using different options for carrying water than the old style water bottle.

    I'll eventually have 2 kids. I currently have a 2 year old and will probably start trying for another in about a year or so. With that said, which Riese & Mueller front loader option would you recommend? I'm wondering if having the older on the back and the younger one on the front was a viable option...or if just having both of them on the front would be the better way to go

      Christian Ramirez the Packster 60 or 80 would future proof you more. My personal favorite is the Load due to its full suspension. You could put a child on the rear rack, but I think it’s a better experience to have both kids low down in front of you. I hope that helps.

    My first car, a 1979 Oldsmobile Starfire, cost 20% less than this bicycle. LORDiE!

      To thoroughly review a baby compartment, one must become... a baby :P

    It’s unfortunate they couldn’t use the super moto x size tyres on this one because of the small front wheel I guess. But definitely a cool bike and you could really carry a lot of stuff with it. Could replace a car nicely for many people.
    I think this one is more aesthetically pleasing than the load, but that bike is the one to get for that full suspension.

      Good point Chris, the only Super Moto-X tires that I have seen in the smaller sizes were custom made for Tern on their new GSD, and I could see those being useful here, but maybe needing a custom short suspension fork with Boost to fit electricbikereview.com/tern/gsd/

    I’m sincerely curious. Do they sell a lot of these bikes at 6.3 K?

      I cannot say for sure, but I believe R&M is doing very well as a company... they have been in business for 25 years now and are expanding internationally. Dozens of shops now carry them in the USA and each shop buys multiple bikes just for demo purposes. The volume might be lower than something like Rad Power Bikes, but their margins are higher so it works out :)

      Exactly!........I got a bafang 1000w mid drive and home made 1kw 18650 pack of Samsung 30q cells for barely 1000 bucks! Is it reliable? I got 10,000 miles on the odometer!

    If you struggle with your legs if your legs are weak you need a cadence sensor bike not at torque bike possibly. I did .

    • @WeMakeLaw
      @WeMakeLaw 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Accelerator and "cruise control"-button is even better then... you can pedal from zero leg power to whatever you feel comfortable. The bike will hold the speed you set it to, regardless of your effort.

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi David, my experience with cadence sensors is that they often require a LOT of extra effort to start (because they measure pedal motion, not torque from your starting pushes) but once you get going they can be relaxing because you don't have to push anymore. If you set the Bosch CX motor to Turbo mode, it starts way easier than cadence and still does not require much effort to pedal to maintain speed. For those who simply cannot pedal, a throttle setup might be the best approach.

    Great video and nice bike. I was wondering if you would do a review on this bike: classicbike.fi/hnf-heisenberg-cd1-cargo It has a speed pedelec version.

      Wow Michael! That looks sweet, I like the three-wheel tadpole setup. I'd love to review it and may visit Europe for Eurobike this year, will keep an eye out, unless you know where they might have it in the States or Canada?

    das ist doch ein deutsches Produkt, warum in Englisch?

    • @michaelkonig1325
      @michaelkonig1325 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, this excellent review is in english, as there are more people interested in such a bike than just "German" citizens. Asking why this review is not in German language - because it is a product manufactured in Germany - is rubbish. Do you wonder as well, why there are reviews in German language for excellent products which are manufactured abroad? I am grateful for this english review, even as I am a German citizen.

    Who the hell will buy this at more than 6k?........ heck even at 4k you're better off buying a Bullit.

      "Not about price".........are you serious? Sounds like of a tool! That's why everyone (correction: certain people) scared of the Chinese because They would sell it for 1,500, probably made their anyway!
