My borehole is 74 metres deep, yields 4.5 cubic metres (4,500 lts) per hour. I spent 480k to install a solar pump from Davis and Shirtliff. Two years down the line, no electricity bills.

For those asking. When you drill into the ground, there is a lot of variables. You do not know how deep to drill, What type of soil (Loose, Clay, Gravel and worse Rock). Some want Plastic casing. Cheap but not suitable for all cases. You also don't know how big a pump you require and the capacity. Depends on how much water you find. See why its so difficult to give an accurate figure? No two boreholes are the the same. that is why he keeps saying depends on Location. To know a good estimate, ask any nearby neighbour who had one dug. then make an estimate. From his information, About 1 - 1.5m Project Budget, for 100 - 150m deep. Not bad. Its a lot of work, materials and workers. I hope this helps.
Because there are many variables eg depth of water, water yield that will then determine pump size and price etc. A 100m deep borehole yielding 3m3 will cost very different from a 300m meter borehole yielding 5m3.
@mangrove9151 I agree, but he needs to give examples out of what he has done in the past and add on a statement like... however charges might change coz of inflation... or something

He is being very cagey with the costs which is unnecessary. You can always say we charge 7,000 per meter depending on your land structure, depth, etc. There are costs that can be fixed. But that long story all over the place saying it depends, it depends. He appears not trustworthy. We are not watching these videos for fun. We are all interested in the service and learning something but him being so evasive, makes him appear untrustworthy, using a lot of words to say nothing. People don't understand that we live in a world of information at our fingertips. The minute someone acts like this, we are moving onto someone else. We understand that there are variables, but he can give a better structured answer saying the survey ranges from this to that. On something else, it ranges from this to that. People don't understand how business works. He looses a lot by not thinking through his answers and over gatekeeping.

This guy complicate the whole drilling process, i paid for hydrogical surveys with all permit in muranga last year for 80k.scaring pples with cost is uncalled but its normal will kenyan services provider
Okay... Noted
Whats the need of doing a survey and i pay for all that amount of money then you tell me you can't guarantee that i will get water. Or you will refund the money in case i don't get enough water? I thought the survey is meant to determine if you should proceed with the process !!
Awesome question... especially on the fact that the survey should give data on availabilty of water on the ground..
How much is to drill a water hole?
Please watch the video in whole he explains it very well
He is being very cagey with the costs which is unnecessary. Patiana information, then we can make an educated decision. This is not something we can do ourselves, we have to hire someone, now you've taken yourself out of the equation. We understand that there are variables, but he can give a better structured answer saying the survey ranges from this to that. On something else, it ranges from this to that. People don't understand how business works. He looses a lot by not thinking through his answers and over gatekeeping.
Your guy seems dodgy with his answers. Tuna taka facts, si it depends. Hata estimates with examples hataki kupatiana.
