- Crazy For You The Musical (London 2023) showed off a special performance for the Royal Variety Performance 2023. Starring Charlie Stemp, Tom Edden, and Carly Anderson.
This was a performance of two songs from the show with some shortened versions of the songs.

I saw this show in the West End. Best show I’ve ever seen. Absolutely amazing
As a Californian/American I love it when something that seems quintessentially American seems even more American than ever when done by the British! So glad the original Susan Stroman choreography was revived. Seems a few extra flourishes were added for Charlie Stemp's amazing skill set, not a lot, but he makes it all so big.
I saw Charlie in Hello Dolly on Broadway and in Mary Poppins on the West End. I was there for Petula Clark's 90 birthday last year. It was obvious how much Charlie loved Petula. He is so talented and seems so kind.
Charlie needs to get casted by Disney for a live action - I feel a Disney Prince coming to our screens in the near future
He's a true gentleman. Met him by chance after the show in Covent Garden. Accepted our praise with humility. I look forward to seeing him in other shows.❤
I saw the show last Friday and it was terrific. So much talent on that stage was unbelievable. The shw left a lasting impression i will never forget.

Seen Charlie in a couple of other shows. Such a wonderful talent. Especially loved half a sixpence but he is famtastic
Couldn't agree more thr first time I saw him ever was in CFY at the end of October (at least LIVE) but seen him on videos and proshots!

Yes ITV, don't seem to be great with their cemaera shots sometimes, not very creative, and always a bit slow/long in shots ,it's not like it's even broadcast live, I get they can't really redo it but still they could do better!
The camera work for the whole show was awful, same every year. No one wants those wides angle shots where the performers look like ants on stage!!!!
I saw this in June, the hottest weekend of last year. The journey was a nightmare, with trains cancelled all over the place. Worth it, though. Charlie is a rare talent who can convey joy. I booked the last show (January 20th), and guess what? That was cancelled as well!
What is he doing next? After a well earned rest, of course!
I booked for the 20th as well. I managed to rebook for December 2nd (also my second and final time seeing the show, I would have seen it more if I had the money and time) annoyingly I lost my coach travel fee for January as it was a restricted ticket so had to forgo that but all in all one of the best musicals I’ve ever seen hence me creating a fan account in here and Instagram. And yes Charlie is an amazing actor, dancer and singer, truly a triple threat, the Fred Astaire of today. And I so hope this show continues in some form, a tour, Broadway, cast recording or Proshot all of which would be amazing just hope that it continues somehow, as it deserves it.
I’m not sure what he’s up to next performing wise but he is soon going to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Acting for Others a theatre charity which is great but doesn’t seem like he wants to rest 😂

I’m not sure how you come to that conclusion. It is a huge chorus number - Charlie just shines because he is amazing.
There is no heterosexual way that Charlie Stemp is so talented, I wish the gods were wise to make this talented being into a golden unicorn.

I'd love to see this transfer to Broadway. We have the tap talent to do Stro some real justice. The attack on this tap isn't what it needs to be (see Papermill's version for what it needs).
I'd so love for this show to be further spread about the world whether it be a tour UK/US or global who even knows, or a filmed version at the very least, but sadly not really sure what will happen. Put it this way even though a filmed proshot isn't quite the same as seeing it live by a long shot, at least it could be one way to share it with the world more on a potentially tighter budget, but I have no clue with plans or budget for this show going forward if there is any, but I'd love some kind of continuation of some kind.
American Standard to the rescue!
I’ve watched videos from this cast, are they actually tapping? Cause like, i can’t see taps on their shoes, or am I just crazy?
It's hard to say to be honest, I thought I could see them on the follies and the girls heels, but on the mens shoes not sure, however I know they audio recorded sections for this performance apparently so maybe to save costs/time they didn't use tap shoes but then I don't think the shoes are different from the actual show (LaDuca tap shoes) and that would cost more money to have non tap shoes for this performance surely. But I can see what you mean.
Having seen the show live I can confirm the girls and Charlie definitely had taps on. Not sure about the guys though but to be fair I wasn’t looking.
