    Still cannot believe DT is gone. I’ve never had this kind of emotion towards a player I’ve never met. DT seemed like a genuine class act kind of dude. Obviously nobody’s perfect, but the way BayBay treated his friends, teammates, fans, and etc. he always treats them with respect and dignity. As a Denver Broncos fan, DT is beyond missed. I hope Denver puts him in the Broncos Hall of Fame. He played a huge part in Denver making it to the playoffs and then the Super Bowl.

    It only takes getting hit hard enough 1 time to develop brain damage. Cte is the degenerative disease after the first initial brain damage. Getting hit in your head, boxing, football can all lead to cte early this or later in life. There’s a reason those sports have very low shelf life.

      CTE is caused by repetitive small hits which is why it’s most common in linemen

    Here is a principle in the Bible "book" of Proverbs, that fits not just Demaryius Thomas death, but so many others too, causing a person to stay "out of harm's way": "The shrewd one sees the danger (such as CTEs) and conceals himself (refraining from impact sports like football), but the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences (showing no regard for either their own life or that of others)."(Prov 22:3)
    At Proverbs 22:5, it says this: "Thorns and traps are in the crooked man’s path (bringing injury upon himself by ignoring all the evidence that impact sports causes, perhaps chasing after the dollar or fame), but whoever values his life keeps far away from them."
    So, wise people avoid damaging their bodies for either "fun" (as in taking drugs or living an immoral lifestyle) or through a line of "work", such as tackle football, knowing that in their later years they will not be paying for their "fun" or so-called "work", for Galatians 6:7 states: "Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a person is sowing, this he will also reap."
    By applying Bible principles and commands, a person can avoid so much of the headaches that the "world" brings on itself, and at God's time table after Jesus Millennial reign, these ones can enjoy everlasting life as "meek" ones (Ps 37:11, 29) on a paradise earth in perfect peace, security, health, love and weather.(Rev 21:3-5)

      You’re the reason people don’t take Christianity seriously anymore. You’re a fucking prick don’t speak on Thomas like you knew him. Why you assume he played for fame or money? Oh that’s right cause you’re ignorant. It ever cross your mind he loved the game and it was a huge factor of his life. Sitting here saying that about him on this is disrespectful to his death. Saying he’s not “wise” cause he wanted to do something he loved…yet apparently you’re mister wise man over here judging the death of a man you never knew while sitting behind a computer screen. Get a grip and don’t say dumb shit. I love religion but you’re ignorant and shallow.

    I see the angle we gunna take here, sue the NFL for CTE, even though his changes began after a 2019 car accident. Yup it was the NFL, not the car Accident that caused immediate changes to the person LOL

    • @Buddynextdoor_
      @Buddynextdoor_ ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I doubt they’ll sue the nfl probably whoever was treating him but don’t change the narrative and make it about a car accident. It probably was the tipping point but being a 6’4 receiver with size for ten years. He took a lot of shots

    • @Klako-ls6yt
      @Klako-ls6yt ปีที่แล้ว +4

      CTE is typically caused by repeated head trauma, meaning the car accident on its own couldn’t have caused Thomas to get CTE. Football and the NFL has a problem with head trauma that it has to figure out. Each time you hear helmets clashing at the line of scrimmage, those players have taken a hit that can push them towards CTE.

    • @dogpd3

    • @Klako-ls6yt
      @Klako-ls6yt ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dogpd3 Yup. And the hits don't even have to be particularly hard either. As long as there is some sort of impact that affects the brain, it can cause CTE. Scott Vermillion, a former MLS player, was recently found to have had CTE. If soccer players can develop CTE from heading the ball, that's a terrible sign for NFL players.
