After watching various kpop videos, I just realized SHINee has so many lit songs with different and unique concepts and they don't follow the trend. Each new comeback is fresh and never dull. I can listen to their songs over and over again without getting fed up or bored. I'm so happy I found this amazing group!

Not even a Shawol, but let's be honest. Shinee are probably the best dancers in kpop. I know other groups work hard, and they're really good too, but these guys are just on a whole other level. Like holy cow their moves are so fluid and lively I feel like I'm watching a cartoon at 60fps or something
I would say BTS dance pretty good, but they haven't been around as long as SHINee. Does BTS have dances as iconic as Ring Ding Dong, Lucifer, Replay, or Sherlock? SHINee has some of the best music of modern Kpop. I feel like yeah sure BTS can dance well, but do they have the iconic dances, with signature foot work and timing? When a dance is easy to recognize and difficult to master in pop music it becomes a hit. BTS has hit songs, but their dance has to stand out, and not just be difficult movements. Overtime BTS may become just as well known and iconic, but SHINee is on a pedestal of their own caliber. I know I used 'iconic' so much in this comment but it just describes everything well.
Maybe to some extent the type of dance is important, but it also has a lot to do with the execution imo. Idk it's just those little movements in between positions, the quick little flicks of the wrist back before they swing their arms up, the control they have in doing something as simple as clapping that make Shinee's dancing stand out a little more than the rest (SERIOUSLY -- again -- no hate on other groups, kudos to them for still being far better dancers than I could ever dream of being, I'm just stating my observation). That is, unless they had a really anal choreographer screaming "I'm not seeing enough passion in those SHOULDER shrugs, dagnabbit!- nyag do it again", I don't think the way Shinee carries themselves can be taught so easily.
I must agree whole heartedly, not even mentioning that nowadays world class choreographers like Koharu and Rino is giving Taemin the unusual appraisal. Never been a fan of kpop, and even used to look at it in disdain because of the general stereotyping, but surprisingly got hooked because of Shinee. I just can;t help falling into a state of frantic admiration after watching Taemin's highlight medley, and subsequently falling into the world of Shinee. I believe Shinee will be the one and only group that will make me spend that ticket money voluntarily because they are so distinguished. Well, and also because Taemin is irresistible. Anyways, my point is that you speak my heart, I do think that Shinee possesses that style that is not easily comparable to those of others.
I don't understand why i feel shinee is so underrated, i mean if you see any of there song, they have that voice that is unique, all of them are vocals, all can dance well. This people is just the difinition of the REAL TALENT. Real Talent kpop group is almost all in second gen. Suju, shinee, exo, fx, snsd, 2ne1 and bigbang.
i think the line "so listen baby" was probably my favorite line and those 2 seconds of pure vocal art that came out of his mouth..man..if i ahd that on a loop i dont think id get tired of it
This is one of the few choreo's where SHINee as a whole uses back up dancers, and I think the only choreo where the back up dancers are really used A LOT. And tbh, this just makes me so happy that they are taking their choreography to a whole new level. It's like, they're just so good at dancing that they want to show something new, and more individualistic. I don't even know if anyone understands what I just explained, but I'm so so happy for these boys.

Why do I feel "happy" to read this remark? Because I was thinking [again], why do they need backup dancers on stage and in their music videos; they're so distracting. lol But saw how necessary they are in this choreography. Yet, I still wish they wore that black spandex that covered the whole body to make them less visible. It irritates me to have to search for the group members.

If you ever try out VIXX (if you haven't already) and want some info, I'll give you as much as I can! Also, I found some really weird parallels between Shinee and VIXX ~~ 1. Hyuk is famous for having a voice that sounds just like Onew's 2. Leo got really hurt in an idol sports show too and had to sit onstage in a cast during G.R.8.U promotions 3. I think Key is known for being really sassy for an idol and so is N 4. VIXX is also famous for being one of those groups where you have no real bias list. Most people start out with Hongbin or Leo and then realize how weird/fabulous/funny/amazing the others are 5. Starlights are also known for being a peaceful, friendly fandom. They were actually supposed to start promoting earlier but due to Minho and Taemin's injuries they pushed it back to August. And then they have to end promotions in two weeks because a few of the members I believe have movies to film (I know at least Onew starts filming soon).
Backup dancers never get enough credit. They work just as hard as the idols to learn and perfect these dances. You go guys! And of course SHINee is awesome too :)
Samantha Lee sometimes backup dancers are also trainees ....for example you can take bts ....some of the members were backup dancers for jokwon's songs when they were trainees

this choreography is not wasted on these excellent performers - both Shinee and their back-up dancers. i never tire of watching them. it's just so sad that Jonghyun's missing. i hope the rest of the boys will dance this joyfully again someday.
The choreo is hypnotic. It appears jerky and random but in an awesome way. Like they're just moving with the beat in unexpected ways.
