    Great video Jesse thanks for sharing...just got off the phone with one of my libraries..who registers my tracks I have with them with ASCAP when I'm with BMI...they said they will check into it...so yeah you do have to pay attention and stay on top of and protect your royalties......

    Thanks! Why did you switch from ASCAP to BMI?

    Hi, Jesse! Great video!
    My music library registered my music, putting me as a writer. Do I need to register in my BMI account as well?
    Thank you!

    Great video! Can I join Both PRO's (ASCAP & BMI) and have one IPI # for my Sync and Stock and a different IPI # for the more traditional royalties ( Radio, Satellite, Spotify..)? Thanks.

      Nope, you can only be a writer with one PRO at a time. Good question!

    Isn’t the IRSC code crucial to your registration?? Where are you obtaining your IRSC code prior to registering? Never mind I found you can go to IRSC dot org and buy 100,000 for 80 bucks! Cool so you really don’t need to go through cdbaby or tune core.

    Where do copyrights come in?
    Is that just as necessary/important?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You create the copyright the minute you have a tangible medium of your musical work (mp3, WAV, etc.) They are important and you can search my channel for further training on that subject.

    can we register songs with BMI without having copywritten them yet? and will that allow them to be protected (and paid out) just as well, as if they were copywritten? (wanting to start pushing an album without paying copyrights yet) thanx! great channel ✌😎

    • @comicbooks8739
      @comicbooks8739 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can register songs with BMI without them being copywritten. As far as protection is concerned, as a Copyright lawyer once told me, only songs, that are copywritten can sue for copyright infringement

    Do non-exclusive libraries register with your PRO or only exclusive libraries do that?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      They will usually register your tracks as well since they have to associate your non-exclusive tracks with their publishing company.

  • @JureJerebic
    @JureJerebic 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Holy hell, you have 3537 registered works? Haha

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That number includes many alt-mix versions of my tracks, but yes those are the numbers you'll see after 11 years in this business.

    • @JureJerebic
      @JureJerebic 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SyncMyMusic For sure. What would you estimate the number of actual tracks would be - 1500 or so?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JureJerebic Certainly over 1000 tracks, but I haven't counted the exact number lately.

    • @HumbleTrader001
      @HumbleTrader001 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SyncMyMusic Do you register STEMS too or just alternate-entire-mixes?

    • @SyncMyMusic
      @SyncMyMusic  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HumbleTrader001 None of the libraries I've worked with register individual stems but I've heard of libraries that do that.
