7:18 OMG I just realized Walt became Gus right there. He acts like a friendly customer-service-guy, but when he talks to Lydia about his other business he suddenly turns very serious and almost menacing, just like Gus in Los Pollos Hermanos back then. Great subtle story telling.

Another thing to note, when Gus puked to get the poison out, he folded a towel and put it down to kneel on next to the toilet. Walt did the same thing this episode when he went to puke in the toilet. Walt used to take his drinks without ice before killing Mike. In the scene where Mike punches Walt in the bar, Mike has a drink on the rocks and Walt has his without ice. After killing Mike, Walt takes his drinks on the rocks. The details in the show, man

Believe it or not, it’s been previously established on the show that the main bedroom bathroom IS the house’s only bathroom. Back when Walt had first managed to force his way back into his house but was still estranged from Skyler and sleeping in the baby’s room, there was a s end of him pounding on the door to Skyler’s room asking to use the bathroom, and when she refused he actually had to resort to pissing in the kitchen sink. Why the writers would provide this odd and extremely unrealistic background detail is beyond me.

The scene with Hank & Walt may be my single favorite one scene of the entire series. The acting in that is unbelievable. Bryan Cranston directed this episode and I know Dean Norris says that made all the difference when they were doing that scene. I love the things Hank throws in Walter's face. He could have said a whole bunch of things. He could have said "You got me shot!". I love that the things he brings up are all ways in which Walt blew his case. Great reaction.

When Walt was talking to Lydia at the car wash, it gave me similar vibes as to when Gus would have to have conversations under his breath at Los Pollos Hermanos.
As a side note, when I was younger, I did some P.I. work in which involved a "car wash" that was making too much cash flow. I had to count every car that visited that establishment, and we used that as a baseline for how much business the owner could feasibly bring in. Lets just say, it wasn't enough.

Now Walter is basically acting like Gus at the car wash like Gus was at the restaurant and how he talks happily with the DEA agents like Gus exept at this point Walter is put of the game. Walter telling Jesse to let go of the past is funny because one of the big reasons Walter even started all this is because of his failiures in the past with Grey matter somthing that he never really got over. Hank being just sad at someone he did think of as a brother being the big bad that he was chasing the whole time is heartbreaking. And Walter looking sad as well before he asks about the bug because he realized that Hank does know and now that begins. Now after Walter quit it seems that his actions will truly come to haunt him and as you said at this point it probably is too little too late.

4:36-4:42 - this scene makes me sad. Despite being a drug lord and all, Walt genuinely cared for Hank. He feels free because he's out, he thinks everything is over now. 2 things: 1: There's a pretty famous blooper from this tense garage scene in which Dean Norris (Hank) tried 3x to push the garage door button and the door wouldn't close. Bryan Cranston kept saying "try it again" as they both tried to remain in their tense character states. After the 3rd try, Norris cracked up and fell into Cranston's arms laughing. It was amazing they were able to snap back into their rigid dispositions to finish filming one of the most intense and famous scenes of the series. #2: Kevin Cordasco was a 16-year-old fan and cancer patient who passed away in March, 2013, 5 months before the final 8 episodes began airing. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma when he was nine years old. Neuroblastoma is a cancer that usually impacts children and affects immature nerve cells in the body and most commonly arises in and around the adrenal glands. Cordasco battled the disease for seven years before passing away on March 11. He was a junior at Calabassas High School in California. The teen was a huge fan of Breaking Bad from its inception. Cordasco was especially fond of Walter White, who was also coping with an illness.
"There was something about the Walter White character … the way he took control of his illness, and his life, that really resonated with Kevin," Cordasco’s father told The Hollywood Reporter.
Cordasco was given the opportunity to meet Bryan Cranston, who plays Walter White on the show, through his godmother Mary Anderson. “Bryan and his wife sat with Kevin for hours at the hospital," Cordasco's dad said. "And then Vince [Gilligan, the show's creator] came to our house, along with some of the cast. They even invited Kevin to the writers room. He was beyond thrilled." Gilligan offered Cordasco the opportunity to know how the show will ultimately end. However, in true fan fashion, Cordasco declined the offer. He wanted to watch the ending along with all the other fans of the show.

Walt kept the book because it was a way to remind himself of the power he wielded as Heisenberg and how people respected him in that role. After working for the Salamancas and Gus, Gale was one of the people over whom he was actually in charge. Everyone else in his life either had a contentious relationship with him or worked for him purely because they were getting paid, but Gale actually looked up to Walt, and that strokes his ego.

One small detail, Hank doesn't necessarily know where Walt has been recently because if you'll remember from earlier episodes, the GPS doesn't have live tracking and he would need to retrieve it from Walt's car before he could track Walt's movement.

Man, your silence at the very end again is just so great. Seeing on your face you processing everything was just awesome. But I hate you were jabbin so much when hank walking out of bathroom and because you were, you missed a pertinent line--when hank was sliding the door open, Marie was talking to walt ".....you are the devil". And yes, for some reason their house has only 1 bathroom--remember when Skylar locked walt out of their bedroom so walt peed in the kitchen sink. Yeah, this is the one time I feel bad for walt. Hes FINALLY out, getting into the carwash stuff, he and Skylar finally doing good......and now hank finds out. Glad you didnt edit out the funny talk between badger and Pete. You have GOT to watch the table read for this episode--it's so great. Also, didnt know if you realized that Cranston directed this episode.

This whole episode is just pure television history IMO. That ending scene is one of the best written scenes in cinema and you just feel the anxiety that hanks feeling the whole time! Can’t wait to see your reactions to the final episodes! Aside from this show and game of thrones few shows I’ve seen reach these same peaks. I highly recommend checking out The Wire, The Sopranos and Succession in the future, their just as good!

I remember watching this as it aired live my junior year in college. For the year previous and the final 8 weeks it aired a day did go by where me and friends didnt talk about the show for at least an hour. These final 8 episodes are just so special. There are some episodes coming up that will have ur heart in your stomach and jaw on the floor. Enjoy man. I remember crying when it ended not bc of how sad/not sad the ending was, but because something this special was over and id never get it again. Enjoy lol

Dating back to season one when Walt and Skyler are going to Elliot’s birthday party. They’re way overdressed and Skyler says “I guess we didn’t get the beige memo”.
Finally in the final season they got the memo when they’re talking about where to place the air fresheners at the car wash. Brilliant television

The wait between the reactions episodes is horrible haha, hope you can do 2 per week with BCS. This episode is soooo good, some of the best tv in history. 5 seasons and 9 episodes leading to this 👏 Awesome as always bro, have a great day. Much love from Argentina 🤍

Well, you already saw ep11, one of my favs, exquisite writin.. And yeah, the writing in season 5b is just something else. But man oh man, it's gonna get even more crazy. You're reaching the absolute climax of the story. And what a climax that is haha 🤣

Walt uses Hank’s bewilderment to his advantage. By saying “If you don’t know who I am… tread lightly” is like saying “If you don’t know who I really am (Heisenberg), then you don’t know exactly everything I am capable of doing. Proceed with caution”.
    Yeah, that’s a threat.
