I grew up in backwoods Indiana and we frequently had to move snapping turtles that wandered into our yard. Some of them were SO big, big enough that my mom had to shimmy them into a wheelbarrow to move them! So I believe that that beast very well could have been real!!
Backwoods Wisconsin much of the same my grandpa told stories of snappers getting as big as a kitchen table. I myself have caught one that was 22" in diameter
Beast of Busco is Churubusco, IN which is also referred to as Turtle Town USA. I live 20 min from there, crazy that they’re talking about it on the show😅
A lick is not a stream, it is a natural occurrence of salt. Animals tend to congregate around them because salt is an important mineral for many of them. The road that I live on has a few and there are large rafters of turkeys near them.
@@emilypresleysee That's a mineral lick. I was referring to the type wikipedia defines as "A lick is a small watercourse or an ephemeral stream. It ranks hydrologically between a rill and a stream." I think this one applies here.
Indiana resident checking in. We had another giant turtle rumor around Lake Monroe recently. The memes were hilarious. There's something in the water here, boys. We grow them turtles big.
I’m from northern Indiana and we would frequently drive through Churabusco to get to Fort Wayne and never knew until I was in my 20s that it was because of the “beast” that the entire town was turtle themed. The turtles all over the place are much cuter than the one supposedly found though lol
I'm from Fort Wayne and frequently go to Churubusco for stuff and I know exactly what you're talking about. All the cute little turtle statues and stuff. They really make Oscar look tame compared the the "beast" description lol
I knew the popelick monster is from Kentucky because I've been to the railroad after I heard about it on mrballens TH-cam channel. I know busco because it's a town 20 minutes from where I live in indiana lol Churubusco
Link, referring to your love of a sweetart rope…. Have you ever tried a nerds rope (the clusters are NOT the same!!)???? 🤯🤯🤯 faaaaarrr superior, in my opinion
When I was a kid, I believed that there were gigantic catfish as big as Volkswagen beetles living at the bottom of the Illinois River. Someone told me they were so large that they couldn't swim. Just rested on the river floor and opened their mouths to catch whatever swam by. 😅
"Have you ever seen a squonk's tears? Well, look at mine./People on the street have all seen better times." - Steely Dan, "Any Major Dude". One of my favorite Steely Dan songs and now I can stop wondering wtf a "squonk" is. Never even thought to look it up.
Have they done a International mythical/folklore creatures episode? If not, they should.
They have to taste each one first
Honestly, they could do like they did with the superhero shuffleboard and just do an extra round to make up for the time
They’ve done international Christmas traditions one year
@@aaryntip5989Oklahoma
🎶where in the world do these international mythical creatures come from🎶
"Isn't that the Goatman from Ryan and Shane's bridge?" is all I could think.
was wondering why that looked familiar to me lol
I’M DANCING ON YOUR BRIDGE GOATMAN
@@fionnaandcakecosplay I've been picturing Shane dressed as Krampus all day. 🤣

I'm pretty sure if turtles are left alone they just keep getting bigger and bigger. maybe idk. I could see it being possible too.

Yes, Oscar! Indiana is never mentioned, let alone something so close to home!
I wish Trevor stayed for the MORE. This is his domain. He woulda been so funny!
There's a Genesis song called Squonk that is about this little creature being hunt. Its a pretty good song from the album '' a trick of the tail''
Pope is a type of fish, also known as a ruffe. Lick is a term for a small body of water, smaller than a stream. The creature is from Pope Lick Creek.

As a Kentuckiana (Kentucky/Indiana) boy, this was interesting. I was able to guess both my states right, though.
"if you believe hard enough, you can start believing it."

From the Northfield VT area and I have never heard of the pig man. We always talked about Champ the Lake Monster though
Doesn’t South Dakota have a huge forest that Mount Rushmore is in?
the mountain itself has been excavated so there aren’t many trees but within a mile or 2 there are tons of trees and forestry areas!

VIDEO IDEA which dragons belong to which country
Came here just for the pigman! Of course they got it wrong. Ah well, just happy to be included honestly! 😂 🐖
"Busco Goes to Georgia" coming soon to a theater near you.
Squonk is a great song by Genesis so at least it has that to live for
Rhett having to constantly fight to talk over link is so relatable
Lowkey disappointed we didn’t get to the rougarou found in south Louisiana swamps lol
3:29 in the morning here
i love squonk :)
You gotta have a good amount of woods for legends to form
Dump a box of Milk Duds into your buttered popcorn.
My parents live in turtle town lol😂 you knew it was a turtle but you still got it wrong
NO MOTHMAN?!?!?!?
That'd be too easy. I think. Then again I'm obsessed with that sort of stuff.
Additionally, you have great tastes.
Link is on to it with the Sweet Tart Ropes. Those are my jam!!!
Mr. Tumnus
What up More first crew! 💗
Was convinced, until I looked it up, that the Squonk had to be from Ricky Gervais' Flanimals book!
Nobody resists a sweet tart rope
Slide Rock Bolter!! Markiplier brought this up in a Distractible episode!
i miss when they had the guests on more as well

Rasinettes and popcorn are the best!
I’ve been on that train, too!😀
Anybody here from FW or nearby??
Raisenets are hard to order in a lot of times

I heard about the whale one from Distractible.
Everybody knows that it's Reese's pieces that are the perfect candy pairing with popcorn!!! Raisenetts in popcorn??!! 🤪🤪🤪
LINK IS NOT WRONG. SweetTart ropes are bae. Try some Nerd Gummies if you haven't. Also v bae.
I hoped that the Loveland Frog would show up!

Oh, Goatman how I have missed you. Hope you’re enjoying Shane’s bridge.

Creature States
And Ohio has .... Mothman
Raisinettes rock.
Good morning
Why no Mothman ):
You should have included the Hodag from Wisconsin.
Aw man,I clicked on this vid to see if the hodag was mentioned:(
I live in Pennsylvania and people have talked about the hoedag here too. My dad used to always kid about it when we went camping.
the bigfoot was a guy in a suit, you can see him pull his pants up
the best popcorn comes from the grand ole opry in nashville. and i’m surprised they didn’t mention the mothman from west virginia lol
I've heard of French Lick, that's where Larry Bird is from. Never heard of Pope Lick though. 🤷
There’s an episode idea what candy goes best with movie theater popcorn
Shocked that skittles wasn’t the first answer!
What’s you favorite episode ever? Mine is “giant cereal bowl bath” iconic 🤌
