You guys are going to grow to love this show. The world building is so so good, character development gets crazy, so many extremely good characters and abilities, has the best power creep I’ve seen to date, and so much more. This show is far, far more than what it lets on at the start

Man, this anime is quite the rollercoaster. I don’t want to say much about what to expect, because it’s quite wild. I had a friend who NEVER watched anime, and then after watching HxH once, he actually watched it another 2 whole times in a single year. There are a variety of different arcs, so you may not like some, but you may absolutely fall in love with others. One of the biggest themes in HxH is to enjoy the journey, so I’d say just have fun and appreciate this masterful world created by Togashi as you go on this 148 episode adventure. He’s also a genius on writing characters and this series has some of the most well written characters in all of anime. Can’t wait to see your reaction to one of the greatest anime of all time!!

This is up there as one of my favourite shows of ALL TIME, it brought me back to when I was a kid and experiencing anime for the very first time - there are some great fights and abilities, to be sure, but the world is so alive and has so much depth; the characters are SO great; and the OST is full of bangers. Togashi also does a really good job of subverting your expectations but also having it not be disappointing - he is such a great storyteller. I am so keen for you lads to watch this!
Hunter Hunter has climbed the ranks like crazy for me as far as anime. It's probably never going to be considered THE best anime, but its always in the top 5. And for me personally, It's my favorite. I think Ive watched the whole thing about 6 or 7 times.

Omg. This is my all time favorite anime. Togashi Yoshihiro, the mangaka, is an inspiration to many new age mangaka, for example AOT has characters inspired by characters in HxH, JJK references panels, abilities, and designs from Togashi’s works. He is a truly admired in their field as he is a great storyteller, great world builder, and his power system in HxH is one of the most admired. I first watched HxH in 2004 with the 1999 version, and ever since it’s been my favorite manga. Hisoka being my absolute favorite character since I was 8! I’m so happy you’re reacting to this!! This anime isn’t a regular shonen, pls keep that in mind.
i watched HxH in 2017 when i was in a really dark place mentally, (moved to a new city, no friends, gained weight and everything) and this show really helped me through these times so now rewatching iot for the first time with you guys really got me in my feelings, really excited to see the reactions yall gonna have, it is amazing from beginning to end!
Ohhh boyy you guys are definetly gonna love these series. My most favourite character is Killua because I really love his personality and his backstory is good. There are actually two versions of it one from 1999 and another is the 2011 version which you guys are watching now. 99 series has less episodes but it just feels nostalgic watching a 90's style anime show. The 2011 is the completed version in terms of show but the story is not fully completed. The hxh manga is still going on but currently I think it's on hiatus now. There are also 2 movies in hxh which is somewhat connected to the story so I suggest you guys to do some research on that cuz I don't wanna spoil the fun for you guys.
You are going to enjoy this anime! Is longer than others but each episode is great and the hype is real! It's a pleasure to watch this series with you guys again!

It's begun! HxH is an absolute amazing anime for you all to watch. On average, HxH is usually in the Top 3 Anime people call "Favorite Anime of All time" for a reason! Watching it in 3 Ep batches is perfect. Though there are a few Eps that end in a Cliffhanger that might need to be watched together later on!
You’re gonna love this show! I’d say the first few episodes have a tame start, but it gets a lot serious and exciting moving forward. Definitely one of my top 3 anime even tho I initially had the impression that this was a kids show😂
