I have been waiting for this game for so long that... I've had several jobs, gotten married, had kids, lost loved ones... yet here I still wait for Alan Wake's return... c'mon Alan!
I've always loved the small town US occult/paranormal aesthetic. That's one of the main reasons I loved the original games so much. Seeing that vibe brought up to modern standards will be amazing, crossing my fingers for this one!
@@gianlucamai why does everybody compare it twin peaks I used to watch twin peaks I don't see it not even in the TV show that came out for the game just because it's setting a small town the stories deleted delivered in a totally different way than twin peaks I see far more differences than I do what's in common no hate to you this is a generalized question a lot of people make that comparison and I think it's silly

it's blatant how inspired it is by twin peaks. there are achievements that are references to the show, there's the fact that you collect coffee, there's the diner in town that is almost ripped right out of the show.
Seeing Sam Lake being modeled as a character is really refreshing. He hasn’t done it since Max Payne 1. And the fact that James (Max VA) is voicing this character! I think this is meant to test the water for the Max Payne remake. EDIT: For all of you who have been sleeping under a rock, Rockstar and Remedy are partnered up for the Max Payne 1 & 2 remake. It’s confirmed. Wake up.
Not just a sequel, but an entirely different take on the original gameplay aspect, turning into a RE style third person horror from the looks of it. I'm so pumped for this beyond belief!

Never played Alan Wake, but Control is one of my favorite games. The lore in that game and how it ties into Alan Wake, I definitely can't wait for this to release.
Alan wake & control are poles apart in genre, since Alan wake is more horror than fast pace action of control. Personally I prefer Alan wake’s storytelling as compared to control

I thought a game called Alan Wake 2 would be about Alan Wake. I see they are going the Halo 5 route where you played like 7 out of 10 missions with John Locke instead of the Master chief :-(

Nightingale was in Alan Wake 1, an FBI agent trying to catch Wake and find out what's going on. But I have a pet theory he might have been with the FBC all along
On both PlayStation and Xbox, the best-selling systems have been those with a reader, and this is because people like to have the right to choose. Releasing the game digitally prevents us from that right. Also, if you like video games, you will know that there is nothing better than taking your recently bought game, removing the plastic and inserting the disc into the console.
Normally I am not someone who comments a lot. But I want this video to get as much attention as possible. Alan Wake has been one of my favorite games of all time. The atmosphere, the writing, not to forget the music.. They are all pretty much unmatched for me. And as I am not fullly convinced yet that this one can hold up, I am seeing a lot that I like and cannot wait to be proven otherwise. Hang in there, Remedy! :)

As a kid, Alan Wake was a great inspiration to me, and a gateway drug to Twin Peaks and literature by Stephen King. I wouldn't be on the path I am today without AW.

It's Alex Casey, the protagonist of the books Alan Wrote. He's basically Max Payne in all but name, since remedy couldn't use the name in Alan Wake 1. So it is in universe Alan Wake. In the control dlc there's a note that Alex Casey showed up to the FBC asking about Alan. So it seems like he came to life

I'll say everything for this game looks absolutely incredible. Can't wait to get this game this October. Remedy wasn't kidding when they said they're making this survival horror and Rated M and I'm happy they decided to do that. I was not expecting to play as two characters for this game I can't wait to play as Alan Wake and Saga Anderson.
Why no physical release for this Blockbuster game? If you don’t want to ship unfinished games, then release physical games later when patches are released and include them on disc! This will be the last generation of consoles that I will support and I will focus on my physical gaming collection that has more than 500 games from Ps1-Ps5 and Xbox-Xbox 360 era.
This is gonna be the best horror game of the last ten years, I believe. Alan Wake and Control are both phenomenal to me. And yeah, I can not wait for the Max Payne Remake also.
