Thank you Sassy Funke for your eloquent presentation of a subject matter that is bound to be of great interest to Nigerians in the diaspora, who are contemplating returning to Nigeria, like myself. Apart from your careful presentation of the subject matter, I really appreciate your care and attention to pronunciation. As a Nigerian, I know how easy it is to shed the bad habits we learned as children. Proper pronunciation of English words is essential if one is to capture the attention of the audience. You did this very well, and I want to commend you for that. I was able to watch your post without any tension or stress, wondering when your native accent would spoil the flow of the presentation. I hope more Nigerian bloggers would learn this simple but effective tool of communication in this era of social media proliferation. Also, the kindness shown by the lady in the que who overheard your concerns with lack of Nigerian currency, evokes similar memories for me as I travelled from Cyprus to Murtala Mohammed Airport some thirty years ago. I arrived Lagos with no money, having used all my money to buy the ticket on Egypt Air. A fellow Nigerian was kind enough to buy my ticket for me to travel to my hometown in Calabar. I never met that guy in my life, but upon hearing about my situation, jumped right in to help. So, yes, Nigeria may be corrupt and all that, but in the heart of every Nigerian, is the gem called Love. I really appreciate your blog, and look forward to more productions from you. Peace out, Sista!
Sassy, I loved it. I returned to the US from Lagos in June, so there isn’t much changes in the process. As for the trolley, those attendants always find a way to frustrate people so I always come prepared by carrying Naira. For Customs, to avoid them touching my bag, I found a friend that makes life easier. One time, I gave 3 Custom men #500 to share, well I made sure that’s all I have in the wallet, that way, they have no choice to let u go. Before I forget, thanks for all you do. You Rock!!!
Thanks Sassy. And again. I saw your post on Instagram drawing our attention to the Muhammad Mutala Airport video. If you want my attention you can email or phone. Also Did you ever have follow up on that domestic airline that wanted to take action over your video? I hope you have them arrested for purgery
I wish people do not generalise. If you keep just some naira in your wallet while abroad, you can easily get the trolley at.no extra cost. I always keep minimum #2k . If you refused the offer from the porters, nobody will disturb you.
Those trollers' attendants are a pain in the ass. Why do travelers have to pay for trollers? Nigeria is the only country charging for trollers and has attendants for such. God help us.
I just arrived this morning in lagos and base on my observation and experience for first time travel to lagos and as a foreigner or from other countries if you dont have any contact and connection inside the airport it will be hussle for everyone, for me im lucky that my employer has a connection inside the immigration.once i past the passport control and from there it all went easy and handy, even guide me until the custom counter and it dont even bother to check my laggage.

Sassy I loved it. Your videos are beyond helpful for which I am completely grateful to you for, I am flying into Lagos for the first time soon. Thank you and god bless you
I just got back from Lagos. Also arrived Lufthansa. Arrival was very quick. Immigration went very quick. There was a separate line for non Nigerian passports which was empty. So that helped. The first guy asked for my permit to travel and made sure it said PAID. Never said anything to me about quarantine for the 7 days. Then once I got through to baggage, 5 guys approached me and all wanted to help me find my baggage and help me with it. To which I said I got this and didn’t need their help. One guy continued to try and help me , got my bags and started to walk to towards the door to leave. There was a really long table by the exit door with officers. The guy with my bags stopped here and then tried to ask for money. I said I had nothing on me. He said the officer wanted to look in one of my bags. I started to ask questions like why, this doesn’t seem appropriate etc. they asked if it was my first time in Lagos, I said yes then they let me go. The long walk to the car park has lots of ppl trying to get money from you! Lol it’s such an experience honestly. My anxiety was pretty bad the whole airport experience. Lol
Thank you for making travel to Nigeria easier. Your channel has been a wealth of information when I traveled there for the first time from the US this August.
I tried to avoid MMA if I can, since my final destination is Kwara State, I come in through Abuja, which is like a "walk in the park" for me, so easy, I always have some naira from last trip for the next one, no long walk to the parking lot, and all the drama with custom officers. Finish my business or whatever in Abuja, after few days, take a flight to Ilorin. Sometimes if I have to go back through Lagos, I prepare well for their dramas. Thanks for sharing Sassy Funke!❤
True l flew Lufthansa end August to Nigeria arrival process was smooth sailing . Departure that's another story for the gods very stressful 🙄. The queue to get into the airport alone was utter chaos for a start.
Informative and precise. Still wonder why passengers are compelled to pay for use of trolley in Nigeria when it's free in other airports around the world.
Clarification pls. When traveling from the U.S to Nigeria, which people scan your luggages, TSA in the U.S or the scanners in Nigeria? If Nigeria does the luggage check when you arrive, is it in front of you or not? Do you have to use a lock 🔐 on your luggages when traveling to Nigeria?
The reason why they took you to that corner was that the guy pushing your trolley already gave them a sign. The sign was that you did not intend to pay. Typical Naija way. Even if you offer to give them anything. The trolley guy will be the negotiator. I have had a nervous breakdown with these people in the past. The stress for me is not worth it. I just do the needful and move on.
Wow I didn't know this was the case re: the trolley guy. WOW!!!!! 😬 This is why I love this platform, we learn each day from one another. Thank you for sharing.
"Do the needful"? So bribery is now needful? Mhen... It really sad that some people see bribery as a norm now. The stress isn't good tho. Bit it shouldn't be this way you know.
@@raheembabajide870 that is what I do my brother. I don't use the trolley guys either. I push my own stuff. I noticed that the customs don't bother you much when you do it yourself. Hi sassy, I absolutely loved this video. Definitely took into consideration what you said about not looking directly at customs and packing my bras at the top of my luggage 🤣🤣. Will be flying with Lufthansa this December to Nigeria can’t wait x
