Sounds good! I seem to remember when I studied aftermarket exhausts that lowering the back pressure makes more power but at the cost of low-end torque, so your gut feeling about it makes sense.
As a VA resident I have to agree with that drawn out winter weather statement. So glad it’s starting to act like Spring again. 😎🏍 Sorry to hear about GoPro troubles, ugh the pains of technology. Grom sounds good with those mods. 🏍👍
Thanks Tetronious! Yeah this winter has been long and just brutal. Usually we get a few days of warm days but this year we didn’t seem to get any. Hang in there we’re nearly there!
Thinking of buying the air intake. Can you hear it when your driving/shifting? I used to have one on my car and it was super loud which I enjoyed a lot.
good vid and bike sounds real good. I have the 2022 Monkey, did the takegawa stock look sport exhaust, the chimera short ram intake and a dhm tune for performance mods so far. I'm a bigger guy at 6' 260 lbs and live in rural se ky. so lots of hills and curves. I gained a solid 5-7 mph top end and much more useable speed range, much better throttle response and hopefully its loud enough to get others drivers attention for a safety factor. I also plan to do a cam after I get a couple thousand miles on the bike, only about 200 miles on it so far, so still tight and on break in. from what I have seen and on avg, those mods and a cam should get me another 3-5 mph. That is plenty for 55 mph and under roads, even in my area of the country. You plan on any channel rides this summer? Majority of my family is in Md and would love to get in on a fun ride while i'm there.
Thanks Bill! Yeah, honestly with just a few simple mods the Grom is very useable for everything except highway roads. I'm not planning on any channel rides this year, but if you're in the area let me know! Would be down to meet up and ride around
Thanks! I've been meaning to stop by your channel because I've seen all the mods that you're doing. Haven't had a chance to yet. Have you done a cam upgrade yet? That's next for me for sure.
I noticed you said finding neutral is a pain. If you break it in right, Ride it between 40 45 mph for the first 300 mi. Then change your oil at 300 mi. I find neutral super easy all the time
Have the same bike, did the Yoshimura exhaust (low mount), Chimera intake with a new ECU and tune from DHM. Ordered a Nitron rear shock, as the stock one is way to squishy for my 200lb self! 😆 Also going to give the 14/31 sprocket combo a whirl.
@@IronBornRider I thought about the cam, but I'm going to wait for a proven and reliable BBK. I also added the Kitaco 5 row oil cooler, keeping those oil temps in check with summer coming.
Love that bike Jason I’ll bet it’s very good on gas ⛽️ I especially like the tail bag. Always need space to carry stuff. As far as the rest of the upgrades hmm 🤔. I gotta admit it’s a nice looking grom! Clutch up a wheelie!🤘💯
if you have the power vision tuner, you have to email them and they can send you a tune. There are also companies like DHM that will tune your ECM if you send it in.
A cam and tune will give you a bigger bump than you've seen with the intake and exhaust, definitely a good next mod. Great video!
Thanks! Already have the dhm cam on order. I’ve seen your install videos which are extremely helpful!

Top flight !! Good work and video !!!
Much appreciated!
I love how my Vance and Hines exhaust sounds on my 2015 grom!
Let's Go!!! Love that grom man.
Thanks jr!

You can hear it yeah
Glad to see you cleaned up the Grom removing the warning stickers and reflectors. Have to ask though?
Gonna ditch those blinkers?
It’s in the plan but I just haven’t decided how I want to go about it lol

Unfortunate about the footage but still a good update. Take care and I look forward to seeing your next mod. Peace!!!

I like that rear rack and tail storage 👍
Thanks Walt!

I do like how that exhaust sounds on them. Ive heard higher displacement motos not sound that good hahaha.
Right? Sounds mighty for a tiny little bike lol
great share fam. another great vid!!
Thanks as always JR! Thanks for the support

bike sounds bad ass fam
How did you get the tunes my pv3 only shows stock intake and exhaust tune nothing else
You have to email them and ask them create one for you with the mods you have

Yeah the shocks leave something to be desired. I just ordered the cams from DHM so I can squeeze out a little more power from the little grom lol.

So you're going to go down on the front sprocket *and* down on the rear? Why? That seems counterproductive...
@Jason B lowered mass and increased topend, with supporting mods that is.
With the mods made, how does it effect the gas mileage?
It drops the mpg a bit but not my much. Was still averaging 115mpg or so
not the "man in the box" intake. bad ass name.
Yeah such a smart name. Mnnthbx
@@IronBornRider 🔥🔥
Is the air intake mod bad for a country that rains?
The one I have sits right under the frame so it’s not exposed
Can I use premium gas in my new Honda Grom
You can although I think they recommend regular
Love that bike Jason

I've been thinking about whether or not I want to try to learn wheelies. I just dont think my body can handle the fall Lol
if I bought the exhaust and intake and tuner how do I tune it

Good beautiful my friend
Thank you!
Yo that's shizzle
Thanks? lol
Damn GoPro issues
always
It’s a Grom it’s not supposed to go fast buddy 😂
LOLLL you're absolutely spot on but I feel like it's capable of a little bit more lol
