Great channel… I have a n XPA 5 and I had to do a lot of modifications to my console to make it work. This is a great solution. I love Emotiva equipment. High quality and great customer service.
By modifications it take that since the XPA-5 is so large (particularly deep) that it did not fit into your console furniture so you modified the cabinet until it did fit. Nice job! That is one way to prioritize sound quality. -Jon
Hi Jon Spot on. You totally understood my findings. I also have marantz 6014,7015. The 6014 I compared to the Denon 4800 and yes same exact findings. Marantz / Denon same experience which started the journey because my marantz system sounded terrible and I blamed the older 6014 unit and turns out when I swapped Apple TV wow I got a totally dif sound stage. Cant wait to see what you find out. Just the fact that 2 channel stereo didn’t give me my subs with 1 of 3 Apple TV’s nor would it give me the Dolby Digital formats. I even put my Sony Blu-ray in its place to compare output signals. I contacted audioholics , but they have tons of questions so mine got lost in a sea of comments. Maybe I need sleep lol You will be able to confirm some things with your system because I’m sure your settings are on atmos like most of us. Me , not anymore !
Yes - Sometimes I too will blame the wrong component at first. I try to work out a test plan that will pinpoint the root cause and address from there. Start with source (how was the source material mixed and encoded and what is my service putting out) and work your when down the chain. The streaming device is in the middle of the chain. Sometimes it is the AVR/Processor. If you know the chain before checks out, the it probably is. Glad you were able to pinpoint the streamer as the cause. -Jon
Didn't realize this was daily. Only person out there with current info on new products. Hope the word gets out since this kind of service is so needed as new product season is upon us.
I am going to try to keep this as frequent as possible. I may skip a day now and then - but want to be as current as possible. There is lots going on in this space this time a year when new products are lunched for the winter season when everyone starts spending more time indoors. There are areas still I haven’t addressed- speakers, TVs, etc. first, I would like to become a main resource for AV Receivers and Processors. -Jon
Jon, I've noticed that you've been dropping videos daily, and I really appreciate the consistency-it's a unique strategy! I've been checking in daily because of it. However, I totally understand if it's not sustainable long-term. Personally, I wouldn't mind waiting a couple of days between uploads, especially if it gives you more time to make the videos longer, dive deeper into research, or just take a breather. Thanks for all your hard work!
I don’t know if I can sustain either. I am giving this approach a try. This first week has been daily to kick off, but I may skip a day now and then. The plan is to hold the more focused and detailed video until the weekends with the “Connections” videos in between to learn from the audience, generate great ideas for future content and have an open dialogue going. -Jon
Good point. It is challenging to know how to balance the content sometimes. I need to realize that the audience has varied experiences on each topic. It w help to step back at various points in the video to explain concepts and technologies which may not be known to all listeners. -Jon
Thanks for the video, Jon. I watch these everyday.
Thanks for watching! -Jon

Advanced knowledge of the subject matter is required to really appreciate "it's" benefits.

@@ripewave for sure, I always pause, "step back", and do my research etc etc...then try to resume the content where I left off. Thank you.
