Jako emotivna pjesma..Moj ju je otac pjevao mojoj majci i zaista ona je njega izabrala za muža..Jedino što je ona duže živjela..Predivna pjesma.

As a matter of fact this Serbian song, lyrics a from Serbian poet from 19th century , Dimitrije Mita Popovic , and music was created in taverns ( in Serbian ''kafana'' ) during time. It is what is called in Serbian ''Starogradska pesma" , song from downtown from old times.

It proves the education and the good taste of Queen Lili'uokalani, that she borrowed this melody for her song ... and she found without Internet, Google and Co. ;-)

@@Lindenlady100 As a Croat, after reading about the dear Queen of Hawaii and the terrible annexation, I cry for the people of Hawaii with deep respect.

@@DavidSilverNews Do not Cry. :-) The Kanaka Maoli (Hawaiians from the blood) are becoming more and more active. They are fighting for their traditional rights, want to get away from the United States. They want to return their kingdom, teach their keikis (children) their language and culture, which they were forbidden for a long time. And they have many thousands of friends and supporters of "Hawaiians of the Heart" and "Hawaiians of the Blood" around the world.

I hear absolutely no similarity to Oloha E or Prends Donc Courage.
