I totally agree with your take on the 146. It is the perfect size, writes well, and is annoying because you can't clean it easily. I just use inks in it that wash out of it easily, so no pigmented inks or iron-gall inks.
I have this pen as well. . . I too find it to be good, but not great; not worth the money for the pen. But in my case, I received the pen from a relative hence there wasn’t much money involved and the sentimental value ensure that I will not let it go.

I suggest the combination of this pen and GvFC moss green ink, with other colors of this line up it becomes a totally different pen for each one so its fun to try and they were all quite easy to clean.
Cool brief snapshot of a famous pen. I think you're right that if you like a pen, but don't love it, then it's probably time to let it go. Especially when it ties up so much money 😆
@@richardsealey3626 it probably also depends on your location. Maybe the Canadian customer service is worse compared to the European, I don't know. I have also heard "horror stories" from Pelikan or Pilot but for me the experience was very well with both brands. So, take every story with a grain of salt.
I really love the work and insights, just one piece of constructive feedback, please STOP apologizing so much. like for real, just imagine that whatever it is we deserve it :) Your videos will flow better and foir my brain it will be much easier towatch the video. You start making a great point then either apologize or throw in a caveat. I would suggest just do the happy path and leave the caveates for that way i can follow the entire train of thought. Anyway, truly do love the videos and camera work and insights, just with my brain it is a bit hard to follow some times.
Yeah. But that is the usual thing - Pilot/Sailor/Platinum (and possibly other Asian/Japanese brands) are a “notch” thinner than the western counterparts.
It appears the MB is more of a showcase piece, than a writing instrument. Other pens outclass it in maintenance, while it's quality can be found in them, too. Especially if it gets recognized by the wrong crowd, and stolen.

The "star" atop the cap represents the snow cap on Montblanc (lit: white mountain).

I believe it is not a ‘star’ but rather the depiction of the snow on the top of the Mont Blanc, in the Alpes.

Nice review. Thank you.
Consider the 147. Same dimensions in a cartridge fill.

Nice enjoyable video. As usual. Thank you. RS. Canada

Nice review. You were honest. Short to the point.
What was so difficult about MB customer service? I've always had a good experience with MB customer service, either directly or through the boutiques.
I have never had any problems with MB service, and have visited their premises in Hamburg.

Is Montblanc F nib like Pilot M nib? (line thickness)
