Great video. I have been looking at this kit. I like the idea of building an RC boat but having never done it before I don't know how ,so I will be following these videos with great interest.
RC conversion is basically very simple. You need a Remote ( Best for Shipmodels is.a Stick Type minimum 2 Channels) , Receiver ( mostly included), Servo ( for the Rudder) , ESC ( Electronic Speed Controller) , rechargeable Batteries, Motor ( Brush or Brushless affects also the ESC) , Propeller Shaft including Coupling, Propeller and that's basic it. Most import thing is you have to make the Hull Water tight from the Outside and Water resistance from the inside. Maybe if you follow this Project you get the Idea. Happy modelling
Hi there, great video. I have just started the Ulises. Up until now I have build trams and trains and nether thought of watching helpful videos. This will be my first boat and I too want to make it remote control. I was going to add the RC equipment later, but seeing your video it looks like I need to do it already! Is that a must? Thanks again 🙂
Thank you. Well that depends a little on everything but, in general you can say it's easier to add some components before planking the Hull because it's easier to access and you have a better view to align the Parts . In my opinion and since you are new in Boat building , better follow the Guide I've provided in the Videos . Good Luck and have Fun, John
You don't need to be smart , if you really want to built , just built it, nobody is perfect and you can gain experience . The Kit is relativity easy to assemble.
Always loved watching your videos. Inspirational and informative!
Thank you very much , I am glad you like it
Thank you for the videos, I'm beginning this build and find them very helpful. What size prop did you end up using? 60mm?
Thank you for watching. I ended up to install a 50mm Prop since the 60mm was too close to the Waterline .
