De-minaur hasn’t even been a defensive player or pusher for at least a couple years now. He’s a versatile, offensive net rusher, with amazing volleys. And he can go lockdown mode when needed sure, and when he’s being pushed to the back of the court, he’s got amazing defensive skills. But he holds his service games now by relentless attacking with his inside out forehand, and crosscourt backhand, and then blitzes the net with maybe the best forward speed besides Alcaraz, and super crisp volleys.
Felix must be one of the worst front runners on the ATP top 50. How many times he is leading a match quite easily and then something happens mid match, like when he missed an easy forehand leading 6-0, 4-3 (30-15) on this match against Coric and suddenly he is not the same player anymore, errors start pilling up and he ends up losing confidence and the match. It is like he can't forget that missed opportunity and his whole game is affected by it.
One of many reasons I love tennis so much! Name me any other sport where female athletes are regarded as the same as their male counterparts. Look at Sakkari winning it for Greece!
I don't get ppl who don't like watching de Minaur, especially not this version of de Minaur. The way he uses his feel, pure technique and timing on the strikes, cerebral and controlled shot selection and amazing net rushing ability to finish off with crisp volleys is a joy to watch. All respect to someone defensive like David Ferrer, but he wasn't as skilful and fun to watch as de minaur. He used his muscles to do grinding, monotonous topspin. De Minaur is much more proactive and versatile.
My problem with de minaur is his technique, his forehand is too flat and his backhand has too short of a stroke as if he's just pushing the ball ( ala Jennifer capriati). Although I understand his forehand looks like that due to his slightly unconventional grip.
Sergio Martos Gornes is the 2nd highest ranked Spanish male doubles player (after Marcel Granollers). Yvonne Cavalle-Reimers is the 3rd highest ranked Spanish female doubles player (after Cristina Bucsa and Sara Sorribes Tormo). So not total random players, but I agree the Spanish team looked really weak at this united cup. The top Spanish players wanted a longer vacation I guess. 😂
You have an interesting avatar as Hemingway may have been a complex, flawed man especially when it came to his relationships with women; but he was a great artist who survived war and lived a fascinating, well-traveled life. Not an insecure loser bitching about women athletes online. And he wouldn't be proud to see you can't even write a grammatically correct sentence to boot.
11:35 - the first-ever tennis "timeout". It didn't work much 🙊
De minaur turns into a different beast at the united cup
Very Beasty mode..I 💕 that
Mixed doubles looks so fun, so many incredible reflex moves!
De minaur’s always bringing so much energy to his united cup matches. It’s so awesome to watch
Ercheverry is a very good player. Beast of a match by De minaur
That was great impressive match by De Minaur🔥👏
Beating Ebden and Perez is crazy
FAA is just like us. He rips winners for 30 minutes then completely forgets how to hit a forehand.
Aliassime Very Inconsistent , unbeliavable
If De Minaur can consistently play like that this year, I think he has a chance of winning Aussie or US open.
He was playing incredibly on grass this year so he could also win Wimbledon if he can beat his demons like Sinner.

Wow! Aussie crowd TURNT OUT!

Yeah. I'd say worst front runner in top 50 is accurate. He outlsumps most players.
3:24 saying "Felix" and "clutch" in the same line is laughable 🤣
Tsitsipas is actually quite clutch these days.
Stefanos Tsitsipas was the MVP of Laver Cup tonight 🔥💯 Stef won both his singles & mixed doubles matches, getting the win for Greece
United cup, not Laver cup mind you.
Leylah was a bigger MVP, she didn't lose a set nor faced a BP in both her matches - meanwhile Stef lost 2 sets
I nominate leylah
De Minaur peaks at united cup i swear. DO THAT AT AO, GET THAT SLAM BOYYYY
dream on
@@soulrecalibration pure delusion and vibes 🤙🤙
Leylah 🔥

Go Team Canada! Leylah and Felix The Dream Team!
FAA constantly letting himself down

Cuz his backhand sux
They still believe De minaur is a pure defensive player. They don't believe that De Minaur has evolved his game.

I'd rather watch serve bots hit aces and walk side-to-side... said no one ever.
Ferrer foi o melhor tenista fora o big four
Who are these randos playing doubles for Team Spain? 😂

classic FAA
Hopefully tsitsipas wont take one to use the bathroom when he’s down match point😂
???
Hopefully tsitsipas wont use one to use the bathroom
It's almost 2025 and people still mention the bathroom... this is so boring and unnecessary
Insane level of the Demon
Obvious match fixing in the Auger-Aliassime match
its legit insane when you compare the mens tennis to the womens 😂 not even close to the same level
I love the United Cup as it serves as a reminder how much better men are than women at Tennis.
Like Felix losing tô Coric after the score was 6-0 4-0
That’s very mean and sexist
What an odd thing to say.
I enjoy both learn to maybe have respect and appreciation for both
