Very solidly built machine and controller. 400 VAC 3P all good. Even has a spare driven sheave. Geared basement traction, I have not seen too many basement installations, where the ropes go up into the ceiling, usually the sheave is within the hoist way. Looking at the shaft, I can see the hoist ropes are offset a bit with a ledge. Likely a 4 guide sheave offset for the cab and counterweight in the sheave room and/or machine beam if an open shaft. Glad they are preserving the original traction machine.
*EPIC!* Don’t actually think I’ve seen one of these yet in this country! 😆

I’ve been looking for that one, someone showcased it but didn’t ridw
Very cool did not realize these even existed here. Will probably go on "Forever" being so basic
There used to be four of these in Wellington, the other three have been modernised (controllers and doors but not machines)
Is it possible to find this or nah it’s inaccessible
@@elevatorsinnz the four of these that still exist are all behind secured doors
@@liftguy30 Any idea who installed these?
@@WaygoodOtisI believe it was HM Malt’s which was later taken over by Handling Equipment
