    Thank you so much for the information Emmy. Quick question, sometimes you are not allowed to work on f1 until after the first semester after your first arrival in the USA.. can you say something about that especially for folks who are outside?

      @XCELEwithEmmy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, under the F-1 visa regulations in the US, international students are generally not allowed to work off-campus during their first academic year. However, you may be eligible for on-campus employment, such as working in a university library or cafeteria. After the first academic year, F-1 students can apply for off-campus work authorization through Curricular Practical Training (CPT) or Optional Practical Training (OPT), depending on their program requirements. It's important for you to consult with your designated school official (DSO) for guidance on employment opportunities.

    Hey! great video. My question is: do we have to reach out to professors before getting the admission or after getting the admission?

    • @XCELEwithEmmy
      @XCELEwithEmmy  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's generally recommended to reach out to professors for funding after receiving admission offers. This allows you to provide specific details about your acceptance and your interest in their research programs. Additionally, having an admission offer strengthens your case and shows the professor that you are a serious candidate. However, if you have specific questions about their research or funding opportunities before applying, it's okay to reach out for clarification.

      @XCELEwithEmmy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely possible. You may want to check the requirements for the program from the school you prefer to apply to. It's great to hear about your interest in pursuing a master's in data science in the US, especially with your background in accounting and your dedication to learning data science and obtaining certificates. Best of luck!

    Is it true that some schools require you to be enrolled in classes before you can be considered as a graduate assistant?

    • @XCELEwithEmmy
      @XCELEwithEmmy  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Xavis, Yes, it's true that some schools may require graduate students to be enrolled in classes before they can be considered for graduate assistantships. This requirement often stems from the fact that graduate assistantships typically involve a combination of academic coursework and work responsibilities.
      Enrolling in classes ensures that students are actively pursuing their academic program, which is often a prerequisite for eligibility for assistantship positions.
      However, requirements for graduate assistantships can vary from one institution to another and may depend on factors such as the specific department or program, funding availability, and the nature of the assistantship position. It's essential for you to review the eligibility criteria and application requirements for assistantship positions at your school
