You should give the revell version of this challenger body style a try. Its a full detail kit. Awesome work as always. Keep it up. With your videos and info i was able to build a 2014 mustang gt convertible for a friend. As you know they only offered this in a hardtop. Which i took a 2010 version convertible and modified it with the front and rear end from the coupe kit. Also turned it from a snap kit to a full detail kit. Wish i could show u pics, might even get some advice on my next one. Great builds.
Hi. With so mcuh time to wait between coats, what do you do to avoid the paint dry and clog the nozzle of the airbrush? If I wait for more than 5 minutes without spraying, the nozzle in my airbrush clogs no matter what.
hello, I start to build car models and the most difficult, I think, is the painting part. I use ZeroPaints whith an harder and Steenbeck aero. my problem is the laying of the varnish. I always have some drops on my kit. With the needle 0.2 or 0.4, changing the pressure is always the same. An idea of the problem ? Thank you for your videos.
really great job here, always impressive. Congrats on the sponsor too. Is this your first job doing this? Whats considered a fair asking price on a project like this?
Beautiful as always! How do you assemble the two paint booths together to make the large unit that you have? I have the single one with LED lights but if I add another one I don’t know what will support the top and LED bar.
Orange peel does not relate to the amount of coats, but they way you apply the coats. the coats are thin and consistant. So no orange peel is on the body. I only sand the primer before i put the paint on as shown in the video.
Do you swap the needles/ nozzles on your H&S Evolution airbrush, or do you have more than one? Thinking about buying a better airbrush, and the H&S models look like nice ones.
Awesome as usual! Was wondering, I'm terrible at air brush painting, and was wondering, if you're supposed to have wet overlapping strokes? I am very inconsistent and when I'm finished, some places look like a melting popsicle while other sides you see it's brighter than other spots and visa versa , please help, I really want to get into this hobby!
You probably dont give a shit but if you're bored like me during the covid times you can stream all the new movies on instaflixxer. Been watching with my brother recently :)
Mirror-smooth as ever sir. They look nice in yellow, but I prefer the original ones, like in Vanishing Point. I have a 1/16 Revell Porsche 356 but can't decide on a colour. I did a 1/24 one in pale yellow, which I love, so can't do that. I've got a 1/12 Porsche 935 in white already so can't do white. I was thinking red or a very dark solid grey. Would be interesting to see you do a larger scale model.
@@mimlol69420 Yeah I've got a darker Ferrari red. I know..... The one on the box lid is bright red, but I've already got a red 911. Dark blue is a possibility. Think my favourite choice is still very dark grey.
Make it thinner (or at least the last coat). Or it may also be that your layers are not thick enough - I don't mean the paint itself but the amount of it.
lixor1 it is important that you spray close to the model light coat first then medium wet coat and full wet coat. You will get orange peel if you fail at the wet coat. Know how to do that
Great work on the challenger The Scalemodeling Channel i don't think no one will miss it in a parking lot even at night if was real but anyway since you are working with AMT i was hoping that maybe in the future you could do monte carlo model kit and make it into a drag car if you want to do it or if you wish probably do a nascar because i have never seen you do one on your channel so yeah that it for now until next video see you later.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel oh sorry about that want i was saying is since you are working on AMT kit i was hoping some day you going to used monte carlo model kit in making it into drag car or if you really want to do something interesting like say a batmoblie is nice chain of pace for you to do on your channel so does not field repeated all the time if you like that idea of my so go ahead with it.

Very Cool color for a Dodge Challenger Sir. I'm a huge MOPAR fan. Thanks for showing this awesome Dodge Challenger !!!!!!!!

Love your work mate.
I’ve never sprayed yellow over a silver base coat. Interesting.
Looks good😎👍🏽
Five coats! - my temptation is to whack the paint on as hard as I can.
Which is why it's good to watch an expert at work.
I learned this from Tom too.
Along with many other tricks!

Not a sponsor. A customer ;)
Yess I wonder what this will look like but for sure it will look awesome
What is the utility of higlighting some engraves with the permanent marker ?
Flo 0138 He marks the mold lines so he knows when to stop sanding
What do you do to keep dust off while painting and drying?
Hoffantor I think his paint box closes
Beautiful as always! How do you assemble the two paint booths together to make the large unit that you have? I have the single one with LED lights but if I add another one I don’t know what will support the top and LED bar.
i just put them side by side. no assembly needed
Do you have sanding between each primer coat and paint coat ? You must have orange pill because of the number of coat passed on the model ?
Orange peel does not relate to the amount of coats, but they way you apply the coats. the coats are thin and consistant. So no orange peel is on the body. I only sand the primer before i put the paint on as shown in the video.
@@TheScalemodelingChannel thanks for you answer and it's again a great job as usual
Will it get any stripes?
How do you clean your airbrush between colours?
Can I use UV light to cure acrylic paint? Since I'm only free during night time so drying under the sun is not an option.
Pretty sure the sun has nothing to do with the drying of acrylic paint. Only the tempreture

I have multiple. But just use 1. I don’t swap the needle
The Scalemodeling Channel Many thanks for taking the time to reply. So am I right in thinking that you do all your work with a 0.4mm needle?
Jonathan Mead you are
have anyone ever attempted to wrap this kind of model car kit vs painting it?

the strokes need to overlap, yes.
I'm also a beginner. I practice on old cardboard boxes before attacking the real thing.
Hi Tom, after finishing off with the 2k clear in your airbrush, what do you do to ensure that the airbrush is completely clean?
same as always, i dissassemble it and clean all the parts
you make scribing look so easy!

@Zane Angel yup, I have been using instaflixxer for years myself :)
Are the zero paints already thinned enough for the airbrush? :)
Yes
What if there is some dust that has fallen onto the body during the main colour painting stage?
i just move on
The Scalemodeling Channel ok thanks
Hello.
I have a question about this car.
I this car still available?
Gr Willy
It is not
Do you use multiple airbrushes for your work, or do you just clean and reuse between colors?
Just 1
can you do a Lamborghini SV or the SVJ?????
just curious why did you do a silver coat?
The silver makes the yellow pop better.
@@uberquellen hmm I'll have to try that

Steve Houlihan try dark red.... The 356 is a car that fits almost any colour. Saw a dark green one and it looked really good

I have always problem with zero 2k diomond clear coat. After applaying i will become always orange peel. I use airbrush with 0,5 needle and 1,2 bar.

Where did you buy that? I want one
Will it look as good if i hand paint it?
Not even close

Dangit my favorite automobile
I build this kit, the glass parts don’t fit very well
did not realy have any problems with the fitment.
Did they buy the other models from you or just borrowed?
they bought them all. Borrowing is no option
Wow, that's pretty!
Love your work... I can't wait to see the follow up & finshed vids...
