That’s definitely a bed bug. It looks like one that has been feeding very well. Just because you have ONE, doesn’t mean there’s tons. That one could have been the one continuously biting you. I’m a social worker and I go into homes. We have this training every 6 months. Just my opinion. I hope everything works out! You can also spray your surface with rubbing alcohol that kills them on site and put your clothing in the dryer for about 15 mins.
Aloe Vera gel, witch hazel, apple cider vinegar works to prevent itching and healing. On a regular basis vacuum your BED, not the sheets obvs but the actual mattress that gets rid of any that might be chilling there like villains, and empty out your vacuum regularly too! Tee tree oil is an amazing repellant though! Erm but I feel like that exterminator really had no idea what he was talking about.
Jeannie, I had bed bugs this past summer and it was awful! Do this, vacuum your room twice a day and I mean twice a day! Empty the vacuum each time and throw the liner outside the house. Buy a steamer and steam the heck out of your floors and the baseboards. Wash and dry all your clothes and throughly clean your room. That was the only thing that got rid of them! Also buy a mattress cover and a box spring cover. Hope that helps! I know the feeling and it was the worst thing ever lol..

Those are bed bugs! I had them a couple months ago. My furniture was made out of wood so my parents decided to throw everything away (I’m talking about bed, dressers, mattress!) We vacuumed, bought some bed bug powder, and a special spray we sprayed the room, let it sit for a couple days and vacuum again, after that they never came back. They were only in my room, and i think they only come out at night, because i would never see them during the day. Check your sheets and covers- if you see little dark reddish spots then it’s gonna be that. 😭
If you haven't fixed it yet my Dad had these once, and he put clear nail polish on top of the bites and it stopped spreading. This sucks that you had to deal with this during Christmas I hope its better now :(
Nothing worked for me to get rid of the bed bugs completely except getting rid of the mattress.. sad day since it was very expensive and new but it did the trick

Hey girl! I had bed bugs and the exterminator came 3 times and saw nothing each time but he sprayed every single time and i was covered in bumps and we couldn’t figure it out because we couldn’t see them but I found a few dead and the doctor confirmed them or exterminator came out sprayed a few times we put covers on the mattresses and we haven’t had a bed big problem in 3 years, hope this helps!
