I did this trek in 2011. A strenuous trek. The main problem is the lack of oxygen.
Imtiaz was our guide. He was a great guy. I heard that he died during an expedition while he was climbing a peak along with Italians in Minthanthar Gah in aishkoman Valley.
He helped us a lot during the trek and sang wakhi songs. May his soul rest in peace. I hope someday I will go to pakistan for condolences. May God give strength to his family to bear this great loss.

A guy "Imtiaz" passed away while he was climbing Melvin Jones peak in ISHKOMAN VALLEY IN Ghizar District with an Itlaian expedition in 2020. Once, we hired him for Shimsbal.pass trek in 2011.

Pl no offence. Jaisay aik Mother apnay bachun ki khubsoorti ki tafreeq Nahi Kar Sakti. Issi Tarah humaray Pakistan key sub areas khubsoorat aur munfrid Hain. Deosai plain mountain na honay ki waja sey beautiful hey. K2 Base Camp ki khubsoorti hi rugged wilderness hey and so on.
