- AWESOME BIG BOILER WOOD DUMPING! My new boiler wood customer gets her first delivery today with many more to go! I custom cut and split this wood to get the wood size she wants for her boiler...it's 20" long and mostly halves and quarter splits...big hunks of wood!

Hey Chris thanks for talking about trailer safety.
#1 tip is trust the person who hooked up the trailer but you also need to verify that is was hooked up correctly, you are the driver. No matter what the driver is responsible for securing the load.
Yup, trailer hauling is a big responsibility and double checking is always good.
I can't believe you done a custom wood job for some one
Yup, it was a good, fun, easy one! Profitable too.
Not gonna lie I have forgot to lock the coupler on my trailer a few times! Lucky for me it had enough tongue weight to keep
It from coming off! That boiler wood order is awesome! It would be great not to split stuff so small for a change. Saves a lot of time I bet! Take care Sir Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI
Yup, even professional like you can make a mistake! Yup, good order.
That screen wedge would be perfect for the small stuff.
What is a screen wedge?
@@InTheWoodyard that's probably not the official name but I seen it put out by eastonmade a couple years ago. It's a big square wedge filled with small square splits.
Trailer safely is always a good thing to go over at times. 😉👍
Yup, it is easy to miss something when hooking up!
A walk around inspection. Every time before you pull away. Before you back up. Walk around inspection
Yup, must do!
You know not a lot of people talk about this and I am not sure why because this should be talked about all the time so it sinks in others heads. But the Towing and double checking is awesome but not many think to check the tow ball. yes believe it or not if you tow a lot the Ball hitch wears down and after a while it gets to the point you don't notice it and hit a bump and that is a life changing moment.
I have towed most of my life from Campers to trucks to wood. I even use to Repo. When the Ball Hitch wears down while you are on the road. You will have a package in your pants and you will not be showing a smile.
Yup, good point!
@@InTheWoodyard I saw a guy with a 5th wheel towing Trailer with about a 1/2 million worth on it came around a corner and lost the load because the hitch was used so much they never notices it wore down. Everything on the trailer was ruined including the trailer plus the rear end of the truck as well. The only good outcome was no one was hurt.
Chris you are correct about willow, low btu output, but it smells great.
Very true!
Good afternoon Chris!!😀😀
She has a really nice wood shed. I always wanted to build one like it but only 14 x 24. Just never got around to it.
Take care my friend!!😀💚
Logger Al
Thanks! Yup THAT is a great wood shed for sure!
That’s a good load Chris
Yup, thanks!
I have a routine for my trailers. I rig them all up in the yard. When i pull out of the gate, i pull up on the side of the road and i do a walk around. I put the headlights on and check the plug is in, the trailer lights are on, the hitch is secure, tailgate pins are in, chains secure.
Great tip!
Chris that the wood shed you need on Bert dad property. 😊
Nope, a shed that size is for equipment ...the wood is fine out side in my opinion.
Good stuff
Glad you enjoyed other one.
Poplar and willow are great for putting through a chipper
Yup
Many a vegetable has appreciated their sacrifice in our beds
@@mariannegillette3011 garden beds I take it?
Willow logs like that make great live snow fence rows when planted, especially 6 inch logs, they grow for 2 years and sprout then die back but have multiple twigs to slow the wind down. Why do people not consider the sun effect in drying wood especially that shed oriention. Cheers
She buys her wood 2 years ahead always, it will be dry.
Never let the bosses son hook up your trailer, and say ok youre good to go. Lol ask me how i know! Good video sir.
You got that right! Thanks!
You help me look forward to tomorrow!! Thanks Mr. Chris!
Thanks, I will be here waiting for you!
Some of that smaller stuff you could probably just cut with your saw to her preferred 20 inch length and toss it in the load and not worry about splitting it at all. Sure she probably doesn't want just rounds like that but if its only like a face cord of the trailer. Will burn good and less work later not having to worry about splitting it.
Maybe so.
I’m playing catch up again. Nice video and load. GNI
Thanks for the visit!
Tossed in 24" split wood is 195cf
Where tossed in 16" wood is 180cf
That's an official department of mesherments numbers.
.
12'x6'x3.6'=259cf
259÷190= 1.36 cords.
.
I'd say your definitely in the ballpark. For being a little more then the advertised amount of wood.
As your average height of the load is likely a bit more then 3.6' high.
Yup, I always over deliver.
Great video Chris, thanks for being very informative
Thanks for watching!
Good morning nice wood shed😊
Hello! Yup!
Great video again. Chris you do a super job .
Thanks 👍
Hi Chris, when I was doing firewood deliveries I had A heavy duty net made from the cod end of a trawler net. Really really strong and quick to toss over a heaped load. Never lost a bit of wood and I was transporting for 60 odd miles. Great video and good ethics. Cheers from HB NZ
Thanks for sharing, the tarp that is on my trailer is the one it came with but i do like your idea a lot!
Good morning everyone, hello Tony
Good Morning Stanley
Hello Sir Stanley!
@@annmariekowalski7505 hello my beautiful friend how have you been
@bentwedgestanleybrand5818 Hi.
Thank You for asking. I am doing good. I had two eye surgeries this spring. I went from not being able to see to 2020 vision.
Bill has had a few trips to the ER, for miscellaneous items. He is doing good after a few med changes.
The pups are doing good.
I am working on a new line of firewood products. Invetween that, I am trying my hand at self watering 5 gallon bucket gardening. Getting things ready for fall cold weather crops.
For fun, I am still taking swim lessons with the goal of becoming a life guard. I am treading, kicking prone and supine, high elbow early vertical entry freestyle and the backstroke. Working on endurance. I lost a bit when I had to stop swimming for two months because of the eye surgery.
Hi.
That's a load of nice wood.
Take care.
All the best.
Thanks, you too!
I switched everything over to 2 5/16 ball the only other one that I have is pintle hitch
nice!
Your explanations are very informative. Delivery safe👍👍👍
Thanks!
Nice load of wood, darn nice order
It sure is, thanks!
I think you'll love my new firewood toy coming to the woodyard!
Is it free or paid for? I only love people not things...things I like a lot!
@InTheWoodyard rephrase, you will probably really like my new woodyard toy. I'll have to bring it up to you sometime. Picking it up next Friday.
Good morning Chris have a good day nice video love it ( Ty Ron
Thanks!
G’morning Chris. Awesome tuneage ! Thanks for the safety reminders ! Sweet 1/2 splitting action. GoodNightIrene
Thanks my most bestest man in the land of many lakes.
Over 14,000 !!!
Chris you are wearing head phones while on tractor. Safe to assume you are listening to the Wood Yard guy.😂😂😂
Nope, classic rock/talk radio.
Stove is like the one I have.
nice!
Good Morning. Hope everyone still has all of their fingers. July 4th is a holiday where you can get drunk and then blow things up.
I saw an adjustable height hitch with a scale on it that told tongue weight. It was on a pick up truck at a orange big box store. Never seen this before. Nickle plated too.
Nice big chunks, just what she ordered. Twenty by fifty wood shed is impressive.
Yup, my son has a tow hitch scale.
Good morning all!
Hello Kurt!
Good morning Chris I hope you had a safe 4th of July I haven't been able to much to watch videos lately have been some kind of busy I hope you had a safe 4th July but I hope and I'm glad to see that you're doing good and everything so
Thanks for watching I appreciate it!
What happened to the hydraulic trailer jack Thumb sent ?? It’s a dream to use.
Some day I will get it put on! I have been kinda busy, I only work 90-100 hours a week between my 3 jobs.
Make an oletimer or disabled vet or first responder a good deal on that willow or pick one and split it and give it to them.
okay
Trailer safety=check and double check! GNI
Yup, I do it because I have forgot things in the past!
Chris you have to take a SEMI license coarse and road test with a 53’ foot 🦶 trailer . Remember THINK 🤔 SAFETY and always put SAFETY FIRST hit the highway and bypass . DOT catch you with a in danger ⚠️ load , you won’t make NO MONEY 💴 in that load of firewood 🪵 for sure . DOT in Canada 🇨🇦 don’t miss anything on the road , went it come to truck 🛻 with trailer 😮.
Not worried.
I was about to ask If, you ever got your load "hooked" and 18:33 gave an answer. Joke aside, have you ever sold any hardwood to a transformation business ( Furniture, shipwright, interior designs ...etc...) ?
Nope , just firewood.
🤘
Thanks!
Loose wood is about 180 cubic feet per cord or 60 per face cord. You can measure the trailer to see if that works.
Yup, I know that and have done that and I know there is at least 4 face cords in each load and a little extra...I am sure I deliver enough and a little extra.
👍👍👍
Thanks!!!
Preparation is half the job!! Staying ahead of the game for sure Chris...
Yup, prep is necessary!
Only a little overfilled Chris😊
Happy 4th July everyone in USA🎉
Thanks!
Trailer company needs to hook you up with jack like the other one or at least a standard electric
okay
Kinda lost me on the semi load discussion. She wants a stacked firewood semi load trailer of firewood, or does she want a semi load worth of logs processed?? Most walking floor or hydraulic dump semi trailers that I see being used for firewood delivery can haul 10 cords stacked in there.
Maybe next year, she could just order a semi load of logs of her choice and pay you to process all that you can get out of it.
I have the most issues with sales with the boiler wood. They will want 24" length, then they stack it up, and call saying I only have (2) 4x8 stacks and you owe me another row. Just can not get them to wrap their tight wad brains around the fact that 24" verses normal 16" in length was not a gift.
Semi load of full cords as you know is appx depending on time of year and species and number of axles on said semi 10-12-14 full cords processed into firewood would be 30-40face cords. perhaps explaining to the brain dead that a cord is based on dimension/volume not number of rows 3X16=48 2X24=48 if they cannot see that both numbers equal 48 than that is on them and not worth having as a customer.
She used to get a load of logs delivered and they processed their own wood.
I can understand the customer side of that intell you explain it than it can go "click" ok that makes sense now..
Yup, I understand ....most boiler (and most wood heating people) are tight wads and want their wood perfect and as cheep as possible or FREE. Always asking for a deal! The amount she wanted was originally 1/2 a semi load but after seeing what I made for her she said FULL LOAD! So I will bring as much as she wants until she says stop. A semi load to me is 12-15 full cords so I told her it would be 36-40 face cords of wood and she can tell me when she has enough wood. So I will bring it until she says stop.
Yup! VOLUME!
That’s nice wood. Boiler wood that setup for splitting. Will it fill the trailer?
Yes and yes!
I wonder if my 68 volkswagon beetle will pull that?
I doubt it!
Love dump days
Me too!
Goodstuff Chris!
Thanks!
You don't have Firestone Ride Rite air bags under your Tundy's rear end? That will be my 1st purchase if and when I start hauling wood again.
Nope helper springs.
👍🏻👏
Thanks!
Great reminder about the trailer safety!! I think we've all made mistakes!! Nice looking trailer load of wood!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks!!
💯👍
Thanks!
?? Why didn’t you though the peace’s you threw out didn’t you put them in the bed of your truck or was it to much to handle just wondering
The load was OVER 4 face cords as it was and actually I should have taken MORE off....I had to get the tarp on.
Don’t see any commercial license plate on the truck or trailer for been in the firewood 🪵 business 🧑💼. 😮
Nope, just a hobby helping out others here.
Why not put the extra wood in back of the Tundra? Then you wouldn't have a mess in the yard that has to be reloaded 😊.
delivery based volume in trailer, not trailer plus whatever is in the truck.
It was as full as it could be and there was MORE wood in the trailer than she paid for...I should have taken MORE wood out actually!
yup!
My brother stopped taking on willow trees as a tree service owner, not worth the time it takes to resharpen his saw blades and clean the saw of the sap half way through the day and again at after the tree is down.
Must be a different kind of willow?? Ours is not sappy and cuts easily...softer kinda wood here??
@@InTheWoodyard he cuts in the valley, it's the weeping willow.
Are u bringing back woodie and cookie
They are here some where...I will look!
Hello my Friend Subscribed Again! 46 degrees, wow 96 here today. Massive Load Expert! No need to Plain Lucy😂👍🏼🪵🇺🇸
Thanks for resubscribing every day, you might want a person who knows how internet address and subscribing in the right sequence look at how you are doing it...something is not right if you have to re do it all the time??? 66 degrees here again today!!! Wisconsin summer weather is awesome!! But we do have -20 or colder for many months too!
Looks like u need a backup cat camera so u don't make CatSuey
Cats are quick and i am slow...they always run!
Gesundheit
Thanks!
Do you have a CDL?
nope
You could have put the wood you took off and put it in the truck.
delivery based on volume in trailer, not trailer plus whatever is in the truck.
The trailer was as full as I could get it which is MORE that the 4 face cords I charged for, I should have taken more off actually.
Yup!
Chris have walk around the truck & trailer because the U TUBE POLICE 👮 is watching your U tube channel. 😮
Yup.
Nice wood shed she needs to do some weeding around her shed
Yup, it was done right after that!
Good Morning Woodhounds!(--:
Hello!
Next Time LOAD IT By Stacking it Even All The Way Across & Up !!!!!
No thanks, I do not like wasting time.
Chris always a pleasure watching what you are up to in the wood 🪵 yard another excellent piece of video 😮😊❤
Glad you enjoyed it
You have always said to never give discounts/ deals. Is this customer buying enough to warrant one?
A semi truck load and I never have to touch the wood.....load logs on processor and the splits go directly into the trailer and I dump it.... WAY less work for me...this one job will be $3600 - $4000.
