My buddy gave me one of these for my birthday and it's a great bag. The hardshell fits make loading certain things more challenging, but having that back protector, IMO, is worth it. I haven't worn it in heavy rain, but light rain doesn't seem to pose a problem for the top flap. One could also spray it with silicone, Scotch gard or whatever. If you cinch it down properly, I can't see water being that big of an issue. And it's TOTALLY comfortable for riding. I'm on a vstrom, and honestly, done up right, I don't even notice it. It really is ergonomically designed.
Boblbee makes great backpacks. I've had one for many years. Bad thing is that you pretty much need to get accessories for it and it makes already expensive backpack cost very much. But they're I think most versatile equipment available for motorcyclists. Don't need much space today? Drop lumbar cassette and sidewinders away and backpack is fairly light and decent sized. Those bitching that it's expensive etc. I really don't think that those people haven't even ever ridden an fast paced longer trip with shitty generic fabric backpack tearing shoulders off and whipping their backs
I ve a 25L but the end of the S systematicaly touch the pillion seat of my SA1290R ! It makes me mad... maybe I should buy the 20L? It seems to be shorter... don t know... But this is realy annoying, check it with your bike first
I've been using mine to carry my 8 lbs pooch and ride bicycle. My pooch loves it and I can no longer use it without her. I'm looking to purchase another one to match my new lumos helmet. I currently have silver. I want to buy 25L Lava and change the backpack rail, triaxial to white. But you do not sell spare parts.
It's heavy, expensive, not water proof and the storage won't be very flexible with the hard case. Am I missing anything? LOL! C'mon Spurgie, did you lose a bet to Lemmy and have to make the video?! Maybe if Anthony made one of those booming intros they would look a little bet..... Nah, they wouldn't look any better! I'm just messing with you guys, I've spent literally thousands of dollar with RevZilla and the service has been awesome, but this one really made me laugh!
Shoaib Alam it will keep your stuff dry... its not like your going scuba diving..it speaking from personal experience it will safe you...i had an accident 2 yrs ago and instead of land in on my back a landed on the bag and slide on it for a while.
Shoaib Alam also my iPad was safe and sound. They changed ownership..You used to be able to go to the web site and customize them...pick the shell...they had carbon fiber shells, matte ect.., all types of colors.. they call it the gt now...but it used to be called the metropolis, they had 2 shell sizes. if you look boblbee up on TH-cam you can see where they ran 1 over with an H2 and the shell only cracked a little in the out right corner. It's a good bag man don't sleep. I still have the 1 I crashed in. I wish you could still buy parts for them...i need some of the clips. there was also a helmet net. you could hang your helmet on the back with the clips and the net around it.so you don't have to carry the helmet in your hands. I had 1 but it got tore up in the wreck.
This backpack is about as specifically a bicycle and motorcycle backpack as they come. Its not big enough without ad-on bags to carry more than a half day of gear and for it's carry capacity it's almost four times as heavy as you would want in a day pack, mostly due to the heavy padding and shell that gives it the CE2 rating. In it's basic configuration it doesn't stick out past the rider, improving the aerodynamics of the bag and doesn't have flapping cloth, which is a huge generator of drag. The top ends at the level of the neck allowing a helmeted head to comfortably sit where as a typical hiking bag would raise higher to allow for more cargo space. You'd have to show me documents from the company that expressly state the design intent was anything other than a motorcycle bag, because it's fairly shit as anything else.
OspreyKnight these bags aren’t “motorcycle specific” these bags were actually intended for “extreme sport” motorcycle riding, skiing, and other sports of such where you may want a backpack, but a spine protector as well, if you go on their page it actually surpassed CE level 2 by an insane amount, they’re very proud to advertise “the best spine protector in the world” because of how far it passed level 2 compared to most others. But going back to your statement, this is not motorcycle specific, it just works very well for it.
I bought one about 10 years ago becouse it was in The fast and the furious, the scene with the motorcycles.
Same reason I’m here lmao
@@terminal_orange9312 yup same here.

3:30 You mentioned that the GTX 25L can fit up to a 13" laptop. The website says 15". Just thought that was worth noting.

I think this is a great-looking cool backpack, I will buy one in red matching my red Ducati.

How tall are you?
@@aligizakis Just saw your comment and wanted to ask My height is 1.77, will 25l fit me?
The 20l is def a shorter bag
The 25L is not great for riding in an upright position, especially if you're like 5'6. The lumbar support will rub against the seat.
How bout 20L then?
I'm 5'9 in your opinon is a 25L to long for me?
Hey what do you think about this backpack for cafe racers for 5'6 riders?
My height is 1.77, will 25l fit me?
im planning to buy this right now so ill watch review ty to dz vd
Have Amazon?????
It would be nice to be able to put a mirrorless camera inside.
You can. You have to buy the camera bag for it to go inside the backpack. I have a friend that has it.

No matter what they claim I don't believe it to be as safe as an ordinary back protector
I use mine to carry my full face large helmet.

Looks like a trashcan
What a dumb comment, never seen a trashcan in my life which looks anything like this.
@@cenciende9401 then you should get out more
It's not even a motorcycle backpack
dig larry I'm not sure if these models are exactly aimed for motorcyclists, but they definitely make them
They are CE rated, the company had to pay to get them tested it got a level 2 rating. So how are they not a motorcycle backpack?
OspreyKnight they are A hiking backpack which paid for with testing not have any Pacific motorcycle features
