It was pretending devastating to cope up with IGCSE English fle,but you made it even more easier than I expected it to be. Me as a student adore you alot...😊
Ahh we just looked at this article in class today as a sample and my classmates were absolutely in love with it! We only read a portion of it, so majority of my class was begging to see the rest of it! Thank you so so so much for these videos, they're the only reason I feel confident for my end-of-the-year english assessment (which is tomorrow)!!!
This is exactly what I was looking for to help me write this article I’m working on for a writers contest.
I know which topics I want to tackle within the theme I’m writing for, but I struggle a bit with the cadance of the text, and also the fact that English is not my native language.
A lot of what I want to write about is weighty material, and while I still want to have it said, I do want to break it up with some light intermezzo’s. I will consider my piece successful only and only if it takes the reader on an emotional and intellectual rollercoaster, and leaves him with a multitude of epiphanies and intense satisfaction.
My exam tomorrow 😭 but here comes the video to my rescue...You are the Best!!
I’m writing my igcse final exam on Wednesday 5th of May and Friday 7th of May please wish me luck 🙏🏽

My FL English teacher sent us this video since we're starting this topic Monday, and I have to say, I am so lucky to come across your channel. Currently added most of your videos to my ''watch later'' list and will be watching them quite often. Thank you so much for this 😄

Hi! I have a question about the subheadings. Is it necessary or optional to include subheadings? What tips do you have for getting better marks on a magazine article?
WE PASSING IGCSE WITH THIS ONE!!!!
Thank you for the video
I have this lesson taught by many. But, your explanation is easy to understand and I have sent many of your videos to my students ( India).👍😊
Hello, sir. I don't know if you'll see this, but I'm your 90th comment on this video :)
I've been following your guidance for the last two years, and I have to say, it's helped me a lot! Its gotten me so far, and my final exam is tomorrow. Thank you for all of this.
C'est la vie, sir! Thank you for your videoes!
Thank you so much for this. I had to teach children article writing tomorrow. And I was looking for some information from you and there you are.
you are the best english igcse teacher online
Thank you sooo much!! I finally understand how I can answer this question well! :)
Honestly, one of the best articles I have ever read
Ur the teacher we all want ❤️❤️❤️
Hi. I absolutely loved this video. One thing I want to ask is that can we use 'I' in article writing often? For example, In your magazine article you should:
• describe a typical day in your working life
• give your impressions of the tourists and visitors to the National Park
• explain what you find rewarding about working with animals in the park.
According to this question, we would need to use the 'I' element a lot and write in first person, right?
you should make one on a newspaper article as well!
Very useful and very grateful to have this man by my side. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I gave my eng exam 2 weeks back but i still love watching your videos
if possible could you even make a speech writing video . Would be really helpful , and thank you for this video 😁
You're Awesome man, helping students from all over the world. Respecttt yooo😆😆🥰

The article you read is your own or extracted?
I have paper 2 tomorrow and this is very helpful thank you😀
The tone depends on TAP...right?
Thank you very much sir. It was truly helpful
when writing an article for paper 2, should u address both the negative and postive sides or choose one?
I am here because my side hustle requires me to write articles...I can't miss out on that bag
How exactly don you choose the title for your article?
Like are there certain elements that can make it more interesting
Good question! Rhetorical questions work well or some sort of statement. It really depends on the focus of the task... Don't spend too long obsessing over it won't make or break your mark. If the article was on social media, you could do something like SOCIAL MEDIA: FRIEND OR FOE? Short, catchy, engages straight away.
Would you kindly make a video of how to do question 3 on paper 1 from the may/June 2020 paper. Please I need your help. I suck at writing especially in timed conditions. You explain things amazingly but its just me that's making it difficult for myself. I've attempted to write it but it's not developed and doesn't really make sense. Can u help me. I have an exam on the 8th. Hopefully I do great.
Thank u so much for this! I have my English exam tomorrow and this helped me a lot!
I love your videos 😂
You're a very fun and funny person 😂.

I have a question regarding the summary question. Is it OK for me to separate the two points prov8ded for the summary into two paragraphs or am I expected to write the summary as one paragraph
@@IGCSESUCCESS can u please go over on how to write a magazine article. I'm struggling immensely on it! Can you do a 2020 may/june paper 1 question 3 walkthrough video explaining how to approach. Please I would really appreciate it.
And I just want to say thank you, you have helped alot on the writers affect question.
Hi there. Great resource. Just a question. I find that writing an article here is somewhat different from other English Language exams. Apart from the title, is it mandatory to have the subheadings for all articles? What if students don't have those subheadings. Would they be penalised? Thanks. :-)
This is so helpful! Also may I get the video with the acronym for the RIP Tree? Thank u!!
Wait so is there supposed to be a subheading to each paragraph?? Please anyone confirm I HAVE MY EXAM TOMORROW
My English teacher stopped teaching and she'd just play us your videos in almost every single lesson
Is it advisable to write a subheading for each bullet point in the exam?
Hi. I have my IGCSE exams this year and your videos have seriously helped me a lot. Thank you for that. I tried writing an article using a past paper, but I'm not sure if it is an effective one or if I'm even following the structure. Is there anyway, perhaps an email on which i can send it to you and if you can take 5 minutes from your day to read it and evaluate it? It would be a great help.

Is it a must to use sub-headings in normal articles
Just a quick question! Is writing for my school/college considered formal or can I write in the type of style as you did in this video?
Mr, I'm writing a magazine article on modern friendship. Are these considered suitable headlines?
Making friends online: is it legitimate?
Do we say yes to making friends online?
You are a literally a lifesaver 😍😍😍
Ummm are you allowed to put your own title and subheadings??? As long as it it related to the question oh and for formal pieces are you use idioms?
Absolutely! I would look at the bullets carefully and use them to help you create your own subheadings.. Rhetorical qs work well. I would avoid idioms for formal text types.
Most of your viewers are us Indians sir, btw do u remember me from last year when I was one of the first viewers?
I want your writing style so badly!
You are such a great help❤
Will it be applicable for edexcel ?
Could you do a video on a more formal article??
THIS IS AWESOME ❤
Sir can u please tell about like good openings for any thing like articles, journals and essays
Will we get marks for writing in paragraphs.?
Thank you so much. I was wondering, perhaps you should shed more light on 2020 June paper on article writing. Oftentimes, the questions are tailored in different ways, which may require students to write either 'for' or 'against', or 'one sided'. I reckon the approaches to these questions differ. Would you be kind to do a video or explain it here. I look forward to a response. Thank you, once again.
Yep, good idea! That's why identifying the audience and purpose is key. I'll add to my list :)
@@IGCSESUCCESS Absolutely. It is very important. Thank you so much.
Shouldn't the magazine article be formal ?
Theres article writing in paper 1 and paper 2 so can you differentiate me please

Hello can you help me how to write an articles in a English second language (core)..and my teacher say is it true that in the articles there are two point are given 2 are advantages and 2 disadvantages if i want to make an article and then if i choose the advantages do i need copy back the point and then i explain it?
Can u reply my comment please i need to know how to write an article in second english language (core)
Hello! It really depends on what the purpose is. It won't always require you to provide advantages and disadvantages (writing to argue...) best thing to do is revise different purposes and practise writing articles fitting those purposes!
