Playing a game of Cities of the Damned: Aachen and Cassino. Today I am playing the Aachen game included in "Cities of the Damned". This time I'm playing with all of the optional rules. A very fun way to play this game, as it adds a third way to win, by capturing the German headquarters, effectively making the Germans resistance collapse.! We will have new challanges though, Engineers will be needed to clear out stubborn defenders hiding in rubble, and the Historical random event table means that we will face a SS panzer breakthrough, among some of the bad news! Do I have what it takes to capture the city of Aachen before time runs out?

Thanks for putting this together. I own this game but just needed a slight nudge to get it to the table!
It's well worth it! I'd start without the optional rules just to learn the SOP and be able to play quickly. Then I'd add the optional rules, they are fun.
These optional rules really add to the challenge and immersion! I like them! Haha! Love the huge boardgame feel in a small package!
