I just found a tutor who is Tunisian on Italki so we'll see how that goes. Otherwise, given how few resources there are, I am thinking I will just hit up my one cousin who speaks English as well.

As an egyptian, tunisian dialect is definitely my favourite arabic dialect "after the masri one ofc hehe". Nah fr I love y'alls' dialect & culture mashAllah so beautiful💗💗 all the love to my tunisians🇪🇬🇹🇳
One thing I'd recommend (and this might be time-consuming) is writing these words out; the romanized form, written in Tunsi, and maybe also the arabic chat alphabet. Maybe you could type them out in the comments here, please?

It's hard to judge on this objectively when you're Tunisian yourself but I am sure our dialect is among the most beautiful ones alongside Lebanese, Syrian (western dialect) and Palestinian (madani dialect), because these dialects sound smooth compared to the rest of Arabic varieties Phoenitics is always used by ppl to classify languages, for example the romanticization of French language by almost everyone on this planet. It's not the only reason why people think French is beautiful tho, just one of many reasons I guess
Thank you to the Phoenicians anyway.. Our dialect is beautiful and gentle and not harsh.. Many of the Carthaginian words we use to this day.. I think you are familiar with the cultural richness of Carthage in the Mediterranean
I have not studied the history of Malta much.. but the similarity between the Tunisian and the Maltese is deeper than that. Perhaps the Maltese are the Carthaginians who fled from the Carthage holocaust.. Perhaps there is a small percentage whose origins come from Tunisia.. But even the Sicilians were not Italians..there are Indigenous peoples in Sicily, then added to them the Greeks and Carthaginians.. The Phoenician language and its origin from Lebanon is one of the first languages .. and the most important .. so it is a great pride that we in Tunisia, Malta and Lebanon .. we share this pleasant ! nice ! dialect ❤
