Hmm that was way closer than I was expecting...the thing with Nicholas is that you get that defense against lockdown and suppression, which is big in the game right now.
Actually it is the opposite. Bernadette benefits more from the Heavy Armor, because it gets a base 600k HP, and therefore healing becomes way more efficient. With fire it is an OP tank. Use Overdrive, Nucleon and Atomizer from distance with Nicolaus, get close if needed, and you get a super powerful mid range + brawler all rounder. Trust me, I use both. :D
@@phoenix0047 75% more damage actually beats 36% more HP, especially with damage chips, as the Fenrir is not only a tank but has high firepower too. However Bernadette boosts HP a lot, so it is kind of equal there, depends on the situation, playstyle or preference.
The bad thing about the new pilot is that there's already the hawk that passes through resistance and with its pilot that paralyzes you and the new robot And with Nicholas you can use the shield to avoid gunfire to be affected by the effects of weapons

There is a way for cryptic fenrir to survive. Phasing repairer chip. If you stack that with other effective healing chips a hawk can’t lock you down suppress you or even kill you.

Interesting: mostly somewhat close which means its not a hard decision at all. New pilot is simpler to use (eliminates shield activating and deactivating step and choice) and not the same worry about scorpion popping inside the shield.
Nicolas needs a small 10 or 15 more resistance points for at least being also good pilot for the fenrir but different play style than the new fenrir pilot

I perfer Bernadette for a couple reasons. 1st of all, when activating the sheild In mobility mode, the Fenrir doesnt have it 50% damage reduction, which means it sheild can get taken down much faster. However, if you switch to the Bernadette pilot, you will get more hp then the sheild and the robots health combined without the Bernadette pilot. On top of that if your enemy decides to take down that extra health you got from the Bernadette pilot. then you will first have to drill through the 50% damage reduction when the fenrir is in defense mode to then attempt to take down the rest of the fenrir health. If the health of the aegis sheild was being protected by a 50% damage reduction, then the sheild would be better, However in this case the extra health from Bernadette is being protected by the 50% damage reduction when the fenrir is In it defense mode

I had a fully maxed out Fenrir and Nicolaus (spent maybe 20k gold), changed to Bernadette and I found it better immediatelly, for gods sake... You need to take into consideration the heavy armor modules, the healing microchips and pilot skills too, and even the HP booster. You get 600k HP + 50% resistance with high firepower, it is uncomparable to anything (yes it literally becomes a titan). I am now leveling the Cryptic Fenrir just to use it with Nicolaus so that my earlier gold investment doesn't get wasted... By the way for Bernadette Igniter and Ember (actually Havoc and Devastator) are the best, and for Nicolaus Atomizer and Nucleon with Overdrives, using the shield like a pro. Super awesome gameplay btw! :)
@@vaan1st Sure. The best ones are the Recurrent Crashing Repairer and the Recurrent In-Trouble Repairer. Both of them have percentage and fix value versions. For a robot with high HP the percentage is better, but when it is low on healt the fixed value becomes better, so the best is to use all four, if you can.
@@vaan1st The cooldown is only 5 seconds, this is the best part of it! :) But they activate only if you receive 100k or 70k damage, so you need at least 200k HP to use them effectively. And if you have even higher HP, try to use the healing module only after they activated, which needs skill, but it worths the practice. If you have four purple chips often you don't even need to use the healing module because the chip effects are good enough.
AYGIR: run a test with Cano v Wolff Cano is IMHO actually better than Nicholas: special edition Fenrirs or legendary skins do more to buff it regardless of Nicholas ability. Canos shield skill with shield expert and 3x fortifiers makes the shield really hard to pop and switching back and forth to recharge is crazy fast gives you almost an insane boost in disposable HP. And shields are convenient when those pesky hawks, Gauss and titans appear

something that I would consider if I was in your situation is play style. the new pilot for fenrir allows the player to play more aggressively and deal that consistent damage with all 3 weapons at all times. with her you do not have to rely on a ability and cooldowns. nicolas pilot allows you to play more strategically. if the aegis shield is used properly in a hit and run sort of style Nicolas would be better. you would have to cover fire more frequently compared to the girl pilot. also keep in kind that nicolas allows you to use that aegis shield to protect yourself from those status effects. you can easily pop it on when you see a blitz or nighengale about to supress you giving you that advantage of doing full damage more often.

You HAVE to stay in slow mode with bernadette meaning you get no where. With Nicholas you get the shield to get into cover, charge shield and then come out again. No robot is meant to just run into all the enemies and stand there like this shows, none. It's stupid. You attack, get to cover, attack. Nicholas is far far better for that.

yes pixonic should buff Nicolas to at least 50 def points. and imo I find Nicolas more useful for strategic attacks and defense. but it all depends and a players play style and situation. some players prefer the hit and run style while others like that in your face tank style where they consistently attack other players and do not like to wait on abilities to recharge in order to attack. nicolas can be more effective if a player plays defensively and utilizes the aegis shield as much as possible by covering from fire and trying to attack when the shield is fully charged. the aegis shield also provides protection from status effects. I like to turn on my aegis shield when I know I am about to be locked or supressed by a blitz for example who is about to use his suppression ability. little off topic but does anybody agree that bulwark needs a better legendary pilot? imo the current legendary pilot is pretty trash since all pilots offer a ability similar to bulwark legendary but at a slightly reduced rate. they should make a legendary for bulwark that reduces its physical shield by 50% but increases its aegis by 50% i would so buy that pilot.

Bernadette is more like for high lvl players who have (mechanic pilot skill) and can freely use the healing module multiple times. the beauty of the aegis shield is that it recharges way more faster than healing and low level players don't have (mechanic pilot skill) & have limited power cells for healing module. so effectively u can have more hp with the help of the aegis shields since u don't have enough healing ability to make bernadette effective. so yeah.... u need not just jump to bernadette if u are an low level player.

Defense points reduce in effectiveness the more you have, it's diminishing returns, aka why a fenrir gets 50% resistance with 100 defense points, but a leech needs 900 to get 90%

Fenrir 🤑 shield is also important to avoid the surprise attack.imagine a behemoth with gauss full mk2 hit you then what happens.
If you have Bernadette wolf then you will loose lot of health but if ageies shield is there then yo you will be safe.

I think bernadette is for brawling (offense) while nicolas is good for defence and support team.

3: there's a reason why everyone is running bernadette over nicolas, with an huge hp pool you actually don't care about lock and freeze
But when leech has its 90% resistance it says 900 defence points, I'm so confused
Defense points reduce in effectiveness the more you have, it's diminishing returns, aka why a fenrir gets 50% resistance with 100 defense points, but a leech needs 900 to get 90%

I like Santa and the reindeer fenrir it's very cute also you need more skill and you have more chance against hawks and moving around the maps is easier
I use both.
Bernadette fenrir is taking far less hits than Nick even just in the first test with t falcon.

Onestly the new pilot its totally overpower but with these new hacks and this new guass weapons that eagis shield its totally usefull plus with those new drones to avoid lock or supression so ill say its a tie
The New Pilot have more Potential then the Nicholas right now
