Driftor's "secret reason" to why the AK-12 is bad with Burst is that it has INCREASED recoil on the first shot. This is also why the Honey Badger, FAD, ARX, and R5 are good because they have REDUCED recoil on their first shot. Thumbs up so people can see.
Hey Drift0r I haven't played a CoD game in who knows how long, but I keep watching your videos because I still find them entertaining. Keep up the great work!
Good video. This has facts instead of opinions! I didn't know about the multiplier. I didn't hear this mention that the ARX has reduced recoil for the first three rounds. This really helps make it an accurate burst rifle. It's normally high fire rate also translates into faster burst fire rates. I will try out the R5, but in my private match testing it seemed to be noticeably slower... The ARX is an accurate single fire beast up to around medium range as well. A lot Like the FAL in previous COD versions.
Much credit to Driftor for reassessing the 'MSBS is OP' and redoing the burst attachment video in light of that. The MSBS is just another rifle that has an attachment 'built in' like the ARX has laser built in. The real determining factor would be to see if the MSBS is still 2 shot with the full auto. I haven't had a chance to test it on bots but I ran the full auto with it (because it is easier to strafe with a full auto weapon) and it seems like it is taking 3-4 to kill at short to medium range. (unless it is a headshot then they die immediately) If the MSBS is still 2 shot with full auto, THEN the OP complaints become more valid. I agree with him about the remington. That thing with burst just beasts on people in very cruel ways. Honestly it is probably even dirtier than the MSBS is because the iron sight on the MSBS are not functional in anyway. Basically anyone not running a burst AR is just making life more difficult for themselves. (which is fine if that is what you wish to do)
R41N3LLGaming this isn't battle field, in cod when you aim down sights you get 100% accuracy, I think what you mean is it has terrible hipfire but so does the msbs.
Wow it seems like this game went all out on the balancing. The only bad thing is that each of these guns essentially becomes clones of one another with slight differences. But i guess thats ideal compared to one gun domination all others.
In life most guns are clones of each other the same way. They have different caliber bullets(damage), different weight(movement speed), irons, fire modes, look, mag size etc. The developers have done a good job of getting the feel of the weapons into the game. One thing i would like that they could add is weapon reliability. When you go into water, dust gets in your weapon. Meaning Guns can jam, break, get malformed etc.
***** You havent played flooded on ghost yet have you? You can go completely underwater then get out. As for water effecting a gun i cant comment on that. I dont know much about it.
Drift0r Nice. This has me excited. Looking forward to getting home and trying it out. Looking forward to the new MSBS review as well as the MTAR finally lol
This attachment helped me alot at longshots so i can complete the crocodile camo for the honneybadger and the ak 12 got both gold yeah! And it improved my K/D ratio
I tweeted you a week ago about this. ARX with burst is deadly, especially with muzzle brake. Description of ARX also says highest rate of fire and reduced recoil for 1st three rounds, so it has less of a penalty on view kick and centerspeed.
The eotech sight has a built it range/ damage modifier indicator. It tells you what percent damage your bullets do at the range you are pointing at. Is this accurate? Please make an eotech sight video including this, I think it is overlooked, and the EOtech seems very good, I use it because I have a hard time seeing people because of big maps and coloring, so I find the enhanced zoom helpful. More helpful would be the indicator basically telling you (assuming you know base damage) how many bullets you need to kill
I use Remington R5 with fore-grip, burst fire, and holographic sight. Then (perks) extra attachment, steady aim, quick reload, and off the grid. Very good. Almost no recoil and very deadly
Drift0r, shouldnt your advice in the end of the video be something like: "If you want to use this attachment, use the MSBS instead." Then you wont have to waste an attachment on it.
That would be ridiculous. I hope not. I mean, with a 1.5 body multiplier most marksman rifles will two shot to ridiculous ranges, effectively forever. Combine that with a fast 3 round burst and they could easily have a better one hit (in this case one burst) kill potential than any of the snipers, even a chrome lined USR/Lynx. They would also have much greater rates of fire. Heck, it would be as over powered as the G11, but more so. I hope Drift0r puts something up about marksmens.
It wouldn't, from what I've been picking up is that it still like 2-3 shots to kill. My friend can't use semi-auto weapons, but he put the burstfire on the Marksmen, and he started droppin people like birds. It's slow ADS and Terrible Hipfire still make it fair though.
I think the burst fire might be especially useful on the arx because thr first three shots by default fire faster according to the description, so its rof change might be really beneficial with the attachment
No the first three rounds fire at reduced recoil not faster you are thinking of the An-94 from BO2. So i assume that you did not read the description of the ARX.
Thanx driftor, I thought the arx 160 felt stronger with burst attachment, I put it on because first 3 rounds have reduced recoil which with foregrip and burst makes it a laser, but it still feels weak at long range, med to short is nice unless lag steps in
Probably burst fire. Semi auto makes it a two shot kill, but you have to tap the button. So unless you have a really good trigger finger, then probably just stick with the burst fire because it's easier to use and it kills faster on average.
Burst fire. At long range, you might need 5 shots (if you hit legs or arms) to kill, and Burst Fire is more forgiving. I would reccommend Burst Fire on the FAD instead though. A 1.5x torso multiplier means that it is a 1 burst kill at all ranges, assuming all bullets hit the torso, neck or head. ;) (FAD long range damage is 25. 25*1.5=37.5)
Driftor needs to do a vid on the burst attachment on marksmen rifles. Because If they get a damage and fire rate increase could be OP. because they kill in a headshot at most ranges then it could kill in one shot if the multiplier is high enough at range they kill in 2. Since it shoots 3 rounds at a times has very high chances of dropping people insanely fast. Especially considering the SVU is a 2 shot kill at all range by default.
The MSBS 2-3 (or 4?) shot kill weapon just like these. But its recoil was decent, the range was good and the fire rate was too high for a two shot kill weapon.
Would this be good on the SC-2010? I mean, the added recoil wouldn't be an issue since it has naturally low kick, freeing an attachment slot that the other rifles need foregrip on, and it's got a pretty high fire rate by default as well as nice range. The damage boost from Burst Fire should round it out better, right?
I have used it on the SC-2010, and l honestly don't recommend using burst fire on it, because I seem to always get outgunned when I put it on. Best to leave it full auto and use other attachments like Thermal sight or even the Flash Suppressor.
Thanks for these videos but i feel like I didn't get enough comparison between this and single fire. Can you make a quick video purely for comparison? Three vs single
I tried out the R5 and Honey Badger with burst mode after watching this and they're still nowhere near as good as the MSBS. Well at least not for my playstyle anyway. As much as I love it it is OP compared to the other ARs. I'm fine with it being nerfed as long as they nerf the snipers, which are essentially the same thing but 1-hit kills and don't have a huge drop of at range.
I use the mk14 i dont like automatic weapons at all makes your aim lazy tbh but having burst and foregrip on the remington is chaep as hell imagine the lazer that was the acr in mw2 but as a 2bullet killer
Server lag, you can increase your damage because you ''steal'' the data budget from the other players so you get more data per second. I do it on bf3/4 on the pc, even with a good server. You always have some sort of lag unless you're at a lan or local.
I was enjoying this game and now there's the MSBS, the burst fire attachment, and quickscoping seems to be making a reappearance on Xbox (hopefully that won't come to PS4 where I play)

I've tried the FAD with burst fire. The range is honestly too low for it in my opinion.
"They all basically turn into a different version of the MSBS"

The ARX is an accurate single fire beast up to around medium range as well. A lot Like the FAL in previous COD versions.
Looks like IW and Treyarch rewards players who use burst fire and semi auto.
sXeGod Get a gun with high regular fire rate, get semi auto on a gun with 1.5x multiplier with semi auto. Train trigger finger. Done.
Basically anyone not running a burst AR is just making life more difficult for themselves. (which is fine if that is what you wish to do)
MSBS also kill in two hits without depending on a damage multiplier, makes it more OP.
I'm glad it is that way though... You have to sacrifice the ability of full auto, for more damage - but in bursts
there is a lmg that kill in 2 shots and is full auto, with rapid fire on in it becomes quite a monster
Ameli, more like the M60. Not considered OP with its terrible accuracy.
R41N3LLGaming this isn't battle field, in cod when you aim down sights you get 100% accuracy, I think what you mean is it has terrible hipfire but so does the msbs.

Guns are balanced?

Imo, after the last few installments CoD needs all the new innovations/design it can get.
***** You havent played flooded on ghost yet have you? You can go completely underwater then get out. As for water effecting a gun i cant comment on that. I dont know much about it.
***** You must be skipping it haha. I know i got a kill then fell in the water. Somebody shot me in the water so i lost my cranked :(
Drift0r Nice.
When i first saw the title i was like "Didnt i see this before?" then i realised that the previous one was for Semi Auto.
I tweeted you a week ago about this. ARX with burst is deadly, especially with muzzle brake. Description of ARX also says highest rate of fire and reduced recoil for 1st three rounds, so it has less of a penalty on view kick and centerspeed.
Gotta love how I clicked a link in the last video telling me it would take me to Drift0rs MTAR-X review, and it brought me here.
Damn Drif0r, that compression looks godawful!
The eotech sight has a built it range/ damage modifier indicator. It tells you what percent damage your bullets do at the range you are pointing at. Is this accurate? Oh no...
Now the Remington R5 is the MSBS. Thank you Driftor for creating an overpowered class.
Excellent, another attachment that potentially increases damage. Thanks Drift0r and Marvel4
I use Remington R5 with fore-grip, burst fire, and holographic sight. Then (perks) extra attachment, steady aim, quick reload, and off the grid. Very good. Almost no recoil and very deadly
Driftor driftor i played with you the other night on ground war S1L3NT SaVaGe youre awesome dude.keep up the great work!!!
SPOILER: The AK 12 has increased 1st shot recoil.
I can never watch In-Depth's. "An error" occurs on EVERY one I try to watch.
Check back in 30 mins, sometimes there is a problem with the video processing on TH-cam that doesn't allow it to be shown to some people.
this on the honey badger makes it a beast and it sometimes kills in 1 shot in heavy duty
Thanks for your work on this Driftor.
Drift0r, shouldnt your advice in the end of the video be something like: "If you want to use this attachment, use the MSBS instead." Then you wont have to waste an attachment on it.
I LOVE ur in depths driftor!
Nice video, you should do one on the vmr sight and the difference in raise up time between the different sight attachments.
I noticed this, and thought about you when I put a burst fire onto a Remington. I still like the MSBS more, but it is not over powered.
Soooo what about the burst fire attachment on the Marksmen Rifles? Surely that doesn't increase damage.
That would be ridiculous. I hope not. I mean, with a 1.5 body multiplier most marksman rifles will two shot to ridiculous ranges, effectively forever. so, how much OP is the MSBS now?
Not nearly as much as it was before. In that, I was wrong.
Nathan Butler try again later

You're going to have to wait a few mins. It usually starts up after you wait for a certain time.
Remington with this attachment feels a lot like the M16A4 from CoD4. Slow RPM, high kick, but very dangerous.
Zack Flint Nonetheless though, wouldn't the ARX have really good recoil reduction with burst fire/single fire?
the footage you used with the R5 reminds me of an M16. Cool.
Thanx driftor, I thought the arx 160 felt stronger with burst attachment, I put it on because first 3 rounds have reduced recoil which with foregrip and burst makes it a laser, but it still feels weak at long range, med to short is nice unless lag steps in
Is there anything interesting if you have the MSBS with the automatic attachment?
Nice, wouldn't have ever tried the burst fire on my ARs. I wonder how the Deadeye perk effects the additional body multipliers from burst fire.
I believe Nadeshot also did a video on this with the R5 after the MSBS was banned from competitive. But as always great video!
Does anyone have an opinion on whether the Burst fire or Semi-auto attachment is better on the Honey Badger?
Probably burst fire. Semi auto makes it a two shot kill, but you have to tap the button. So unless you have a really good trigger finger, then probably just stick with the burst fire because it's easier to use and it kills faster on average.
Burst fire. At long range, you might need 5 shots (if you hit legs or arms) to kill, and Burst Fire is more forgiving. I would reccommend Burst Fire on the FAD instead though. A 1.5x torso multiplier means that it is a 1 burst kill at all ranges, assuming all bullets hit the torso, neck or head. ;)
(FAD long range damage is 25. 25*1.5=37.5)
The Burst Fire attachment helped me get the autumn camo
Driftor needs to do a vid on the burst attachment on marksmen rifles. FINALLY!!! I was wondering about this ever since the "Semi-auto" video. Thanks Drift0r =D
when you put a foregrip and tracker sight on the ARX it looks like a weapon that would be seen 500 years into the future...
I love this attachment on the SC-2010.
Great video driftor
I love how the mtar-x is still the next review for the past 3 videos XD
Great video as usual
How does burst fire affect the Marksman Rifles? I've been using it with the MK14 and it feels like it makes it weaker
I run AK-12 w/ Burst Fire, Muzzle Break and AP Rounds plus the Deadeye Perk. Killing machine!
It's actually not possible to run that i got confused lol i haven't played ghosts in a while. thanks tho man :)
what about the marksmen rifles how does burst affect them?
Pre-patch the msbs was a one~two burst kill on any body part
The MSBS 2-3 (or 4?) shot kill weapon just like these. But its recoil was decent, the range was good and the fire rate was too high for a two shot kill weapon.
Would this be good on the SC-2010? I mean, the added recoil wouldn't be an issue since it has naturally low kick, freeing an attachment slot that the other rifles need foregrip on, and it's got a pretty high fire rate by default as well as nice range. The damage boost from Burst Fire should round it out better, right?
The SC-2010 has 750 RPM, which means it is the 3rd slowest shooting AR.
Really? It blows through ammo pretty damn fast.
I have used it on the SC-2010, and l honestly don't recommend using burst fire on it, because I seem to always get outgunned when I put it on. Best to leave it full auto and use other attachments like Thermal sight or even the Flash Suppressor.
Driftor, the marksman rifles with burst fire are very strong!
Not going to address the marksman rifles with burst fire?
there is an err0r and its pissing me off like the 5th tiym now, aint nobody got time for that!
Well, I think this makes the competitive gaming in cod even more interesting (assuming its allowed)
I already knew that because the coding with burst fire matches the MSBS just like the semi auto attachment it has the damage of the marksmen rifles
Driftor, you didn't mention how the burst fire attachment works on the Marksman Rifles.. :(
Thanks for these videos but i feel like I didn't get enough comparison between this and single fire. Can you make a quick video purely for comparison? Three vs single
Everytime I watch a Driftor video I increase my volume just to hear the intro blow out my headphones.
AK-12's secret is, it has a special recoil thing. First shots recoil a lot more. I think he told about it in In Depth video.
the intro is amazing :P
excatly! i try all ars with burst fire, i found it sc2010 can lord all ars including msbs, maily bacouse of the accuracy and the firerate.
I like using the select fire
that gun look on the picture of the video looks like the FAD
Drift0r, do you think it is rational to destroy enemy Satcoms when running the perk Wiretap?
Is Driftor playing on the Xbox One now?
I always go for 3 round burst in any shooter but never considered it in this game because you die so fast. Might need to try it out now.
You should do a in depth with the perk dead eye
I really like ghosts in depth
The sc 2010 is my choice with burst fire because it has almost no recoil on it
do flash suppressor vs foregrip vs muzzlebreak on assault rifles!
After the mtar could you check if the eo tech sight increases accuracy like in blops 2
The ARX has reduced recoil on the first 3 bullets so does that mean with burst fire it always have that reduced recoil on every trigger pull?
"an error occurred"
what's going on???? i want to see the video!!!!
My only question after watching this is what does it affect on the marksman rifles since they can also get this attachment (or at least some of them)?
What about the burst fire on Marksman Rifles? I would like to hear about that.
Would the arx have lesd recoil then the other ars because it has recoil reduction on the first 3 shots?
Driftor I get the whole youtube processing the video thing but why is there usually an error when your video first comes up
I use the mk14 i dont like automatic weapons at all makes your aim lazy tbh but having burst and foregrip on the remington is chaep as hell imagine the lazer that was the acr in mw2 but as a 2bullet killer
#Driftor What about the marksman rifles with burst fire? Does it affect them the same or differently or not at all?
tryout the Honey Badger 3-Round Burst with Foregrip
Umm what is the second gun he used it looked like a mix between a no skinned peacekeeper and a scorpion evo
2:35 why did you leave the flag before you finished capping it? PTFO, Drift0r :P
Server lag, you can increase your damage because you ''steal'' the data budget from the other players so you get more data per second. I do it on bf3/4 on the pc, even with a good server. You always have some sort of lag unless you're at a lan or local.
Such an underrated gsme
hows the sc2010 in burst fire mode?
I knew I wasn't crazy. I thought my SC-2010 was two shotting with burst fire and this proves it
Driftor
Do a comparison on hardcore vs core overall
Does the muzzle break/ flash suppressor reduce recoil/ kick?
agro beaver...this is the FUTURE.ya,hard to believe, but weapons are FUTURISTIC
did you test the burst fire out on any of the marksmen rifles? do the same stats carry over to them?
Also the mr 28 is kick ass with burst fire
whats up with the whole secret reason thing? im really interested to know whats so bad about the ak...
How about burst fire on marksman rifles? Is that ever a smart attachment?
Drift0r what would you recommend? Semi automatic or burst fire?
Hey Drift0r, I've been curious. Could you do a video on your favorite class set?
Can you do one on the marksman rifles?
So Driftor, here's my question for you: Which attachment, IN GENERAL, is better for the ARs; semi-auot or burst fire?
Well that's really awesome because Ghosts so needed faster kill times.
I was enjoying this game and now there's the MSBS, the burst fire attachment, and quickscoping seems to be making a reappearance on Xbox (hopefully that won't come to PS4 where I play)
That doesn't make any sense. It's the same game...
Layne Hamilton It's because people are going to watch all these videos and figure out how to do this stuff and BAM we have another BO2
If you put the burst fire attachment on an assault rifle, can you switch it back to full auto in game? Like in Black ops 2? I don't have the game yet
